This
ingenious battery was sent to me by the kind team at vapor4life.com, and came packaged in
the WOW Vapor4life logo packaging.
On
opening this battery, you are instantly struck by the feel and size of this
battery, the outer casing of the battery is covered with a rubberised soft
touch coating, which gives it a real quality feel, and makes it great hold in
the hand.
It
comes with a standard inset 510 connection on the top, so you could use it with
only of your own 510 threaded tanks, although I will be reviewing with with
the supplied matching Smileomizers.
On
the bottom of the Vapor Zeus battery unit there a stainless steel end cap,which finishes off the unit nicely, and located at the bottom, is a standard USB socket, for charging or
it can be used as a pass through unit, so you can still vape on it whilst
charging, which is a great idea.
On
the side of the Vapor Zeus unit, it has a small plastic button, nicely flush
mounted, so much so you can hardly see it. This button has dual function,
when you get the battery out of the box, it is set on automatic mode, press it
five times and lights up green, with the Vapor4Life logo on it. This then
sets the battery to manual mode. We will be trying out both modes during this
review.
This Vapor Zeus battery doesn't seem to weight any more than a standard ecig battery.
This
a 5v unit that runs at 1300mAh, It has a stated 15-20 hours of use and
takes 5-12 hours to charge (depending on the method - 5 with USB Charger, 12
for the Slim Charger).
It
has a cigar shaped rubberised mouth piece, with a small draw hole in the end,
which screws onto the Carto tank, which has a matching soft touch coating.
And is finished off at the bottom with a stainless steel bottom cap. So
it matches perfectly, and again gives it a real premium feel to the whole
units, and gives it a great USP.

The
Smileomizer is filled by unscrewing the rubber month peace, from the body of
the tank, which has high quality threading. Once unscrewed it reveled the
inside of the Carto tank, which has a wide opening for filling. There is a
small plastic air tube in the middle, which is surrounded by a very fine mess,
which sits on top of the wadding, and the coil.
Don't
be temped to try the air flow of the Smileomizer, dry whilst it is attached to
the battery. As it will fire as soon as you draw the air through, as it come
set on auto mode, and you will get a burnt plastic taste.
Filling
is realy simple, just unscrew the mouth piece and drip in the juice onto the
top mesh, it soaks in until it is full. The air tube is set well above the
mesh, so real nice and easy to fill. Screw it back on and let it stand for
about 5 minutes to allow it to soak in well.
Then
screw the Smileomizer onto the vapor Zeus, and you get to see the true
size of your e-cigar. It's a great size and feels well suited to the
hand, like a quality Cuban cigar. Don't let the size fool you, it is real light
weight, and easy to hold in the flat of you hand, or like a cigar
under your fore finger.
As
soon as you put the soft rubberised cigar tip up to your lips and start to draw
in, the air switch trippers instantly, no lag at all, and you get instant
thick full flavoured vapor. Not the normal level of vapor that you would get
from an ecig, I mean clouds of the stuff, thick lush vapor. It really needs to
be tried to be believed, you don't have to suck hard, like on some other
e-cigar, just the slightest toot seems to produce loads of vapor.
As you draw in, the button on the battery lights up green with the Vapor4Life logo, and you get a satisfying sizzle from the Smileomizer as it heats the juice.
In
auto mode, It really is the closest thing I have found to smoking a
cigar, size, feel, draw action combined with great vapor production. More people would be quitting smoking if they tried these.
The auto function seem to work just as well on one of my own tanks, I fitted my Vivi Nova tank toit, and started to draw and again great taste and levels of vapor production a looks great with it fitted, due to the extra diameter of the battery.
Press
the function button five times, and the unit is set to manual mode, and the air switch is
switched off, and you are back to press and toot, not sure I like using it in the mode as I find the switch a bit to hidden and hard to find, and cant see why you would want to use it in manual mode, when the auto mode works so well/
On this vaping journey that we travel, I as many people started on a basic ecig type unit, and then moved upto the separate Mod, Battery and Tank set up to get the level of performance that you wanted. and up to this point, I felt that was the only option to get the vapor production, airflow, that i was looking for, But I stand corrected, this Battery and Cartomiser set up, has a great level of performance, in all areas, Vapor Production, Taste, Airflow.
And I would say in the short time I have been vaping, it seems to sit closer to the level of a Mod/Tank set up than any thing I have ever tried, and combined with the easy of use, set up and carry-a-bility. makes a great addition to any one collection. I though I would try it, review it and put it back in its box, but I have been blasting on it all day, its a great little unit. and a pleasure to use
I think the Auto toot funtion, will help alot of smokers make the transition from analogue to Digital, and stick with it, especially those people who want a good vape, but dont want to make the move to buying a Mod, Battery, Charger set up.
I would give this battery 10 / 10, not sure how I would improve it.
