Presentation
The the eVic-VTC arrived in a cardboard presentation box, with a photo of the mod d on the front, and a summary description on the back along with a contents list, and choice choice.
Once you remove the slide off lid of the box, you reveal the mod sat in its foam packing. Once the mod has been removed, you can then remove the packing layer, and access the rest of the including kit.
The kit includes the following items.

- 1 x eGo ONE Mega VT Atomizer Ni 0.2ohm
- 1 x eGo ONE CL Coil Ti 0.4ohm
- 1 X USB charging cable.

The eVic VTC mini comes in a choice of three distinctive colours, white, cyan and black.
Built in safety
Over 10s Protection – when the power button is pressed for more than 10s the output will shut off.
Atomiser short Circuit Protection – when the Atomiser short circuits, the output will cut off and the screen will display ‘Atomiser Short’
Low Power Alert – when the voltage reaches below 3.3v you will get a msaage appear on the screen ‘Battery Low’ if you continue to vape, the device will shut off.
Temperature Protection – in VT mode the temperature of the coil is restricted to the selected temp, and as it reaches the set temp it will display ‘Protection’
Temperature Alert – If the temperature of the device reaches above 70c the device will shut off and display ‘Device to hot’
Body.
The eVic VTC has stainless steel two piece body, that has been precisely machined, and the powder coated, the White eVic that I was sent has an also pearl matt finish, that has a slight shimmer to it.
The box design mod has perfectly rounded edges that fit perfectly into the hand, the flat sides mould seemly around to the face of the device.
Control buttons
The eVic VTC has moved away from the selector wheel that was featured on the previous eVic TC model, and has gone for the more standard lay out of having all of the control buttons laid out on the face of the device.
The fire button, is neatly recessed into the body of the device, set back into a pressed curve.
The matt black plastic button, has a great positive click to it, with zero button rattle.
Below the OLED screen they have designed another recess, were they have located the two small control buttons, which are made out of the same black plastic, again with zero rattle.
They have been set far enough back to ensure that they can not be accidentally pressed.

The eVic VTC features the same 0.96 inch OLED screen as its predecessors set behind a smoked plastic protector.
The screen displays the following device information, neatly laid out on one screen, without the need to go through any complicated menus, to find the required information.
The screen displays:
- Output Coil Selection.
- Wattage / Temperature
- Voltage (replaced by Vape time when fired)
- Atomiser Resistance
- Battery Charge, Puff Counter or Puff Time.
Functions
Pressing the fire button 5 times turns the device on and off.
Pressing the fire button 3 times enters menu mode.
Once you have entered the menu mode the top section of the screen will flash, this section allows to to cycle through the different power setting. By press the right function button.
Pressing the fire button, then locks in the chosen power mode.
Pressing the fire button 3 times and then pressing the left function button, takes you down through the different settings that you can adjust. Pressing the right function button will then start altering the chosen setting
Maximum wattage - you can adjust and set the maximum wattage that you want to deliver to reach to chosen temp.
Resistance Lock - allows you to lock in the displayed resistance.
Battery Bar - you can choose to display, battery bar, puff counter and puff time.
In standard display mode (no fire button pressed) you can alter the power and temp up or down using the left and right function buttons.
Charging
The device can either be charged via the USB micro socket neatly located at the base of the front, just below the function buttons.
Charging takes around 3 hours to fully charge. Or you can switch out the 18650 battery, and charge it in your battery charger, whilst using your new fully charged 18560, with no down time.
Battery cover and tray.
The eVic VTC has a magnetic battery cover, that wraps around the back edge of the device,
They have machined the back cover to fit perfectly, producing a nearly seem less fit, one of the best fitting battery covers I have come across. Zero rattle and very little movement. Which is achieved by the machining of a small lip running along the inside edge of the of the cover.
This lip marries up to the body of the battery tray, to produce the steady fit.
The battery cover is held securely in place two by two sets of 1cm long magnets.
The eVic VTC battery tray is constructed out of black plastic, with embossed (+) & (-) indicators, with a short battery pull, to allow you to easily remove your battery, and features brass battery contacts, with the positive end being sprung loaded.
Supporting a maximum 18650 battery length of 65mm.
510 connection.
The eVic VTC features a stainless steel threaded 510 connection with a sprung loaded floating brass centre pin. Surrounded by a recessed shallow air channel running around it.
The eGo one mega tank is the larger version of the originally launched eGo one tank, and comes in at a full 22mm wide.
The tank can be broken down into three main components.
The base/510 connection, the tank section and the drip tip.
The base section of the tank incorporates the 510 threaded connector with brass non adjustable centre pin, that connects directly through to the coil hole.
The tank base has a stainless steel finish, which also houses the adjustable air-flow vents, which can be adjusted through rotating the outer ring, to either open of close off the air draw. The twist has just the right amount of resistance when turning.
The kit comes with a choice of two coils. Either titanium or nickel, which will both run through the temperature control.
CL-Ni atomizer head has a smaller diameter airhole, ideal for vapers who want to experience a mouth inhale rather than a direct inhale. With natural cotton for a clean taste from your e-liquid and gold plated connectors for accurate resistance/ohm rating,

CL-Ti atomizer head is designed for the eVic VT, however this coil is a perfect match for many variable voltage devices. This easy to maintain accessory has an improved resistance/ohm accuracy of 0.4+-0.0ohm down to the gold plated connector at the base of this atomizer head.

The eGo One Mega tank has a pre installed glass tank, which is non-removable. And sits in side it's stainless steel powder coated housing,
The tank outer casing has three sets of three vertical slots, that allow viewing Windows to see you juice levels, although I still find it tricky to see how much juice is left in the tank, due to the lack of light, and the fact that the slots are all off set. Although the metal casing does give great protection to the glass tank.
The tank section is topped off with a non-removable chrome top cap, which has a standard 510 drip tip hole.
The included 510 drip tip, has a has a stainless steel chromed outer casing with a delrin internal coating, to help reduce heat transfer.
The 4ml tank can be easily filled by tipping juice in between the side wall and the centre chimney.
Atheistic's and Build Quality
Joyetech have produced yet another premium feeling device, but in a smaller body. With its pearl effect finish, seems to has a slight texture to it, adding to the overal grip and feel of the device. The eVic VTC mini, has been so well thought out and designed. From its elegant curves, securely fitting battery cover, and functionally large OLED display.
And when paired up with the colour coded eGo One Mega, makes a stylish addition to anyone's vape collection.
Performance & Real World Experiences.
The eVic VTC Mini has been great to use and review, Joyetech have managed to cram all the excellence of the eVic TC 60w in a more pocket friendly package.
When paired up with a well coiled RDA , with device defiantly packs a punch, 60w worth of power is plenty of punch for every day Vaping. Although Vaping at the higher watts defiantly eats through the battery, and I only tend to get about half a day of serious Vaping at 60w.
Compared with using the temp modes, which seems to be a lot more conservative with its power and juice consumption. Making it the perfect take out about about mod.
Conclusion.
I really couldn't fault the eVic VTC mini kit, it really is a pleasure to own and use. Joyetech have really set the bar high, in the mini mod market. Would I have bought this kit, if I hadn't been sent it? Yes - it's the perfect pocket friendly mod, for every day out and about Vaping pleasure.
