AUGVAPE DRUGA RTA REVIEW.
Followers of my blog will know that I have been working with AUGVAPE for many years, and have always had a bit of a soft spot for the Druga sub brand of atomisers, Pods and Mods. So was super excited when the AUGVAPE team kindly sent over their new addition to the Druga Family, the Druga RTA. Closely following in the footsteps of the Superb Druga RDA, which was a real flavour machine. So was interested to see if they had managed to get the same level of performance and flavour out of this newly launch Rebuildable Tank Atomiser.
What’s in the Box.
The Druga RTA arrived in a brightly coloured square box. Nicely branded.

Unlike other AUGVAPE tanks, the Druga RTA does come with any coils or cotton.

The Druga RTA currently comes in a choice of 3 finishes for you choose from, I was lucky enough to be sent the matt black one.
The Druga RTA comes fully assembled, but uncoiled and wicked, and can be easily broken down, for installation and cleaning.
It’s detachable structure breaks down in to six section.
The base section features a standard 510 connection, and houses the very compact airflow inlet system.
The 3D airflow can be controlled by rotating airflow control ring. Which the detachable for easy cleaning.
The build deck, is well machined, to a high standard, and features four flat head screws, threaded down into the coil tail slots.
The double paired screws allow for multi directional coil, meaning that you can install coils which have been wound in both directions, both left and right. Which is a massive plus. As it drives me mad when company’s design this style of postless deck, but only accommodate for single direction coils, as it is Sod’s law that your favourite coils are always the opposite to what you need. So big thumbs up 👍 to Augvape for giving the option.
The base of the deck, and directly under where the coil will be placed, is Augvapes 3D Air slots, giving you three air holes on each side, pointing directly up to the coil. Giving you so called 3D Airflow.
Either side of the deck are two well sized juice wick holes, which allow plenty of room for wicking up your fat coils.
The intensity of the flavour that you get from the DrUga RTA, is in part due to the size and design of the inner chamber, which threads down over the build deck.
The outside of the chamber features the classic Druga double D logo. Nicely etched into the side of chamber. Augvape always seem to get the tonne of their branding spot on, always quite subtle, with no massive logos printed all over the device. As they never want the branding to detract from the overall look and style of the device. Always giving them a classy stylish look.
The chimney runs up from the neck of the chamber, flailing out to create the top section of the tank, which the tank seals onto.
The dual kidney shaped fill ports are machined into the top section, giving you plenty of space to fill up the tank, using all types of juice bottles.
The low profile top cap features some nice texturing around the outer rim, topped of with a 810 style drip , which completes the whole look of the tank.
Design & Build Quality.
As with all of the Druga range the build quality is top notch, and considering the price tang, has a real premium, look and feel, especially when finished in the matt black, looks stunning.
I really like the overall low profile look of the Druga RTA, at 39.5mm, it is hardly any taller than the Druga 2 RDA that comes in at a stumpy 39mm. So it looks great on top of any of my mods. I do think that shorter tanks, just look for much bettter, and more in proportion.
Must of the height saving, is done with the base of the deck, with one of the narrowest airflow inlets and control ring.
With some nice detailing running around the airflow ring, finishing off the overall look.
Vaping Performance of the Augvape Druga RTA.
The Druga RTA is a real flavour machine, and delivers some of the best flavour, from an RTA that I have reviewed in a long time. The flavour that you get from it is more inline with what you would get off a well built RDA. This preciseness in flavour, comes from the overal design. In the fact that they have made the distance between deck and the mouth piece as short as possible, giving you a flavourful warm vape 💨.
I have tried out quite a few builds in the Druga RTA, from simple 3mm kanthal builds up to a chunky fused Kanthal, and it seems more suited to a chunkier Fused Clapton build.
Augvape Druga RTA Build.
For this build I used some of a Wotofo Framed Staple Clapton that come out at 0.33ohm.
As I said the beauty with this tank is you can use both right handed and left handed coil, which ever you have to hand. And simply unscrew the two opposite corners of the deck, and then tuck the tails into the slots, and then hold the coil tails firmly in place, as when when you tighten the screws down, it does tend to want to push the coil tails out of the slot. Would have been nice to have had reverse threaded screws, which would have pulled them in, as you tightened them.
Once both are tight, and you have positioned coil in the center, you can trim off the excess coil legs.
Then pulse the coils, and scrap out any hot spots.
Wick it up, with you favourite cotton, shoe lace cotton is so much easier.
Snip the cotton off in line with the edge of the threading on the deck, give it a little comb out, and then gently tuck it down into the juice ports, located either side of the deck
Juice up the cotton, and you are ready to go. Screw down the tank over the deck. Unscrew the top cap, and fill up the tank.
I love the way that the whole tank goes black when you fill it up, due the matt black chamber.
Final thoughts on the Augvape Druga RTA.
Super impressed with the Druga RTA. A true flavour chasers tank. And a great addition to the Druga Like up. So if your looking for a RTA that is easy to build on, produces amazing flavour and looks super cool, then pick up a Augvape Druga RTA.
