I have reviewed a lot of IJOY products over the last couple of years, and most of my top ten, would be made up of IJOY products. Rita over at IJOY CIG very kindly sent out a couple of their latest Solo V2 200w Box Mod kits free of charge for the purpose of these reviews.

Introduction.
The IJOY SOLO V2 200W TC Starter Kit is the step-up from the original iJoy SOLO, with an upgraded more powerful chipset that features 200W of maximum output and ijoy temperature control combined with the outstanding performance of the iJoy Limitless Sub-Ohm Tank that s included in the kit.
The iJoy SOLO V2 200W TC Box Mod is designed and manufactured with cloud-chasing in mind. With the ability to fire up to 200W. With the additional benefit of the highly coveted Temperature of Coefficient Resistance (TCR) Adjustment for the more experienced user. The Solo V2 will fire down to a minimum resistance of 0.06ohm and support for Ni200 Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel coils. Allowing the SOLO V2 to be paired up with the latest sub-ohm tanks.
The Solo V2 was built with creative design elements, intergrating the IJOY signature T-shaped control button and a distinctive oversized fire button, featuring a magnetic battery bay for complete removal of the battery housing, allowing for easy access to the pair of 18650 batteries (not included in the kit).
IJOY have included the 25mm Limitless Sub-Ohm atomizer featuring a 2mL juice tank, top-fill, and IJOY coil-chip technology.
Presentation.
The Solo V2 comes packaged in a white presentation box, with gloss printed outer sleeve, featuring the colour selection of the Solo V2 on the front.
The rear of the box, gives details of the kit, and the specification and product features.
Once the outer sleeve is removed, and the box lid opened you can gain access to the the Solo V2 Starter Kit.

As with all of the My Vaping Reviews, we will have a detailed look at all items included in the kit, then go onto see how it performs.
iJoy SOLO V2 TC Box Mod
The Solo standing just under 95mm tall by 54mm means this 200w mod, comes in quite a surprisingly compact size,
Outer Casing
The removable powder coated Alloy sleeve makes up the majority of mods body, and features the stylised IJOY logo design, printed on one side of the casing.
On the the reverse, it has the IJOY logo printed across the lower section.
The Solo V2 casing has a nicely rounded far edge, which fits comfortably in hand.and adds to the overall look and feel of the device.
The colour coded casing wraps around and encases the side mounted OLED screen, and T shaped control switch,
Neatly the casing seemlessly follows the top lines of the device were it meets the black powered coated top section. At first glance the seemlessly design, doesn't make it apparent as to how you gain access to the battery compartment which is cleverly concealed.
Battery Compartment,
To gain access to the battery compartment you simple hold the top section and pull down on the body sleeve.
This accessibility style, reminds me of the design features on the amazing Limitless Lux mod and the unbeatable RDTA 200w Box.
The internal skeleton of the Solo, is very similar to the RDTA Box, and allows free access to the battery tray.
There is no need to have pull ribbons to remove the battery, as there is a handy cut out, which allows you to simply pop the battery out, by pressing from the rear through the hole,
The batteries are held firmly in place with firmly sprung brass contacts. With clearly embossed positive and negative symbols.
On the base of the battery tray, they have located a pair of strong magnets, which firmly hold the outer casing in place, with a satisfying 'Snap' as it locks in place.
In between the magnets, is located the devices micro USB, which allows for firm ware updates, but has no charging function.
Top Section & 510.
The internal battery compartment runs seemlessly up into the black power coated to Section. Which houses the 510 connection,
There is a recessed sections pressed into the top which seems to be designed to either assist with airflow, or catch Juice, I haven't worked out which.
The stainless steel threaded 510 connection, features a sprung loaded brass centre pin.
Controls & Functions.
The Solo V2 features a striking oversized wrap around fire button, measuring 24mm x 16mm, colour coded to the mod. Which I think looked good on the white mod, but wasn't as keen, with the red on black on.
,
The button has a very firm press, with zero rattle.
The button sits just above the quality 0.96 Inch OLED display, which is bright and well laid out, in the same style as the pre mentioned RDTA Box, with similar feature rich function.
The display gives you all the relevant Vaping information clearly displayed on one screen,
Three rapid presses of the fire button, takes to to the menu screen.
From here you can choose between wattage and temperature mode, rotate the display, select power profile, TCR adjustment and puff counter reset.
These menus are controlled using the T control switch, combined with using the fire button to select the options.
iJoy Limitless Sub-Ohm Tank
To match this high performance Mod, I'm glad to say they have included a equally high performing tank.
The Limitless Sub-Ohm tank breaks down into its component parts for cleaning and maintaining.
We will have a look at the 6 component parts of the tank, its construction, and how it fits together.
Unusually the base section has no form of airflow control, which to be honest I found quite refreshing, as personal I tend to find that I always leave it wide open anyway, and in removing The airflow control ring they have removed a good 5ml off the height of the tank. And given this tank what they are calling direct airflow.
Instead they have mounted the 510 connection on a large cross section machined into the base, allowing air flow in and around.
The 24K Gold centre pin runs up through the base, allowing contact with the coil set, when screwed on.
They include two two of the IJOY Chip Coils
- 0.3 ohm Dual Coil - rated 40-80W
- 0.6ohm Dual Coil - rated 20-40W
These Coils are exactly the same as the Coils included in the Tornado Nano tanks apart from the fact that they have added a small red LED into the chip section of the coil, so when fired it emits a red glow from underneath the tank.
Also I found that due to the standardised sizing that IJOY have used you can also use the RTA deck section from the Tornado Nano kit should you wish to stick your own build in.which is great. I love the fact that IJOY are really leading the way in interchangeability with in their tank and RDA's
The Chip Coil, screws directly down on the base section, making direct contact with the 24k gold pin.
The tanks top and bottom are held together with this internal skeleton, which has four supports running up to the top section.
The glass section then simply slides down over the top of the inner skeleton.
Which is then secured by the fill top cap, which has kidney shaped cut out in the top for easy filling.
The top cap also makes up the top section of the chamber, which features a nice curved design, to assist with the flavour intensity.
This is secured in place by screwing on the top Fill cap, ensuring that the orings have direct contact with the tank, to create the seal
The only part of the tank design that lets it down is the Delrin top chuff cap, which recesses into the top cap, and I found impossible to unscrew once you had been using it for a while, as there was very little to grip on,
They could have done with adding some type of grip pattern to it.
They also include what I believe is a 510 Adaptor plate that threads on top instead of the chuff cap.
But I mus admit, I struggled to find a drip Tip that would fit secrurely in the whole, so in the end gave up, plus as with the chuff cap, there is nothing to grip onto, when removing it.
When the tank it put back together, I found no issues with leaking, and the Coils can be easily removed without having to empty the tank out.
Every day use & perfomance.
As you can tell I'm a really ijoy fan, and this kit has been a pleasure to use, I like its striking design features and for its size it defiantly packs some power.
The menu system is clear really easy to use, with a couple of clicks you can make all the adjustments you need, I'm not a fan of Vaping in temp mode, as I tend to find it a bit under whelming, so I haven't really tested out the temp settings, or the taste control on this device, although I have on other ijoy mods.
Positives
- Great Styling and Design.

- easy to use control system.
Negatives.
- No juice Control. (Although I had no issues)
- No Airflow Control ( again no issues for me)
- lack of grip of chuff cap.
- No USB charging.
Conclusion.
I have been really impressed with this kit, and for $76.99, I think is great value, It would have been name ve if they had included the Nano Build deck, to allow you to put your own builds in the tank, and it Vapes like a dream and comes alive with some fat Coils in. And the mod defiantly has the power to get them chuffing. But all round great kit that I would defiantly recommend.
