ZAPWRAPZ - Mod Wrap Review.
I started speaking to the team over at ZAPWRAPZ on Twitter @zapwrapz and they very kindly agreed to send over a couple of the mod wraps for me to try out and review, these wraps were sent out free of charge, for the purpose of this reviews.

Choosing your Wrap.
The first thing to do, is to decide which of your favourite item of vape gear, is going to get the full ZAPWRAPZ treatment. Which means that you can either chosen to brighten up, or give a new lease of life to one of your favourites that has seen a bit of action, that has a few minor chips and scratches around the edges, or you can give one of your brand new mod, a completely new look and feel, to allow you to stand out from the crowd. Or maybe you want to protect it, from any future chips and scratches.
Once you have chosen which one of your mods you are going to wrap, you simply enter the make and model into the “Search by device” page, which has everything from Ambition Mods to Yihi SXmini, and everything in the middle.
And you can rest assured that the Zapwrapz team have all the latest, greatest and must have mods, as soon as they come on sale they have it wrapped, quite literally. Once you have entered your device, then the Zapwrapz website does its magic, and displays your chosen device wrapped in each one of there many designs, allowing you see actually see what your device will look like once it is wrapped. Very clever system, and makes choosing you wrap a whole new experience.
Once you go through to your devices page, not only will it tell you exactly what your wrap will include, but most pages also have a detailed video showing you how to wrap that exact device.
Then then fun part, choosing your design, and there are literally hundreds to choose from.
To make it easier they have split the designs into a number of categories, personally I found myself swiping through all of them.

The other way to choose, is just to start with the design style first, and see all the flat design,
Choose your design and then wrap it virtually onto your chosen mod. Either way around it’s super easy to find your perfect Zapwrapz .
Having spent literally hours, 🕝 combing through all their amazing designs, picking them, then changing my mind and picking some more, this is where I wish they had a ❤️ button, to help you make your short list. And a social share button, to share your choose design with your mates, and let them help you choose.
So I choose the very cool looking ‘Black Honeycomb Camo’ for my silver Dovpo Topside Dual, as I always found the silver a bit to plain.
And for my Dovpo Topside Lite I choose ‘Mandalas & Koi’ as I just loved its tattoo type look, and well I have a passion for Koi.
The Zapwrapz Wrap kits
The kits arrived within a couple of days in a plan brown ‘Do Not Bend’ envelope. With the two wraps inside, each one in its own sealed down clear plastic sleeve.
Each sleeve had the precision cut premium quality 3M vinyl wraps, firmly stuck to the shiny easy peel backing paper, along with a small alcohol wipe, and fitting instructions.
Which includes the following check lists
Check before application
- Your hands are clean
- Device and wrap are both at room temperature
- The squonk bottle has been removed
- You have a hairdryer ready
- The room has good lighting
- You have watched the application videos on the Zapwrapz channel.
General Application Guide
- Earn your device with the included alcohol wipe thoroughly
- Dry using a lint free or microfibres cloth.
- Use any screen or button cut-outs as your guide.
- Align the side with the edge of the device
- Double check position before pressing down firmly.
- Use your hairdryer to heat up the wrap and rub it all over.
So having watched the Zapwrapz videos a couple of times, and set up my wrapping station we set to work. I thought I would start off with the Dovpo Topside Dual, as it looked a easier one to start with, with less cut outs etc.
Dovpo Topside Dual Black Honeycomb Camo Zapwrapz
So following the instructions we gave it a good clean with the Alcohol wipes, I would have liked the wipe to have been a bit bigger, or been given a couple to use, as mine seemed to dry out quite quickly, which I think may have had something to do with the fact I was doing out side in the warm sun.
Once you have fully clean the mod, and dried it off with the micro cloth, then you begin to put you first section of your wrap on.. I went for the main center section, as you could line it up on the face plate, and get it right around the screen and buttons, hoping that if I got the front right the rest would fall into place.
As long as you have positioned the front section correctly, the sides sort of fall in to place, you just need to make sure that you work it tightly into each of the curves, as you need to make sure it reaches all the way round to the front. I did have to peel mine off and replace, as I ended up with a gap at the front. But the second time it was fine.
The top section seems to just fall in place, once the sides are in place, and it’s just a matter of making sure it is located around the 510 correctly.
Dovpo Topside Lite ‘Mandalas & Koi’ Wrap
As this the previous wrap, and with a little bit more confident, I cleaned up each part of the Topside lite. Including the squonk bottle section, and battery cover section.
As long as the main front section is lined up, the top section just drops into place, you just have to pull it into place,
You really do need to press it quite hard with you finger tip, to get it into the groves, and press out any bubbles or creases.
As long as you have pressed in to the shape, then you know that it will line up perfectly on the edges. Once it is all in place, you can rub it all down, and then look to remove the clear transfer sticker, that just peals off.
Finally I added the small circle sticker to the top of the squonk bottle top. I used the transfer sheet to make it easier to line it up.
And then rubbed it all down with the cloth to make sure it was all in place with no bubbles or creases.
