AUGVAPE FOXY ONE 21700 MOD Review
I have been working with the team at AUGVAPE for many now, and was super excited to hear that they where launching a new 21700 mod, to add to their collection of well design products.
Augvape have never really been one for following the crowd, and have always seemed follow their own path, with more of classic minimalist design style, which has over the years set them apart from the competition. Creating them a loyal fan base. The original Druga Foxy Mod took this old school design to another level. And I’m please to see that this design style has followed through onto the New Augvape Foxy One Mod. How it feels in the hand is as important to the designers, as how it looks as well as how it ultimately performs.
21700 batteries seem to have become the vapors battery of choice, delivering power all day, without the need to carry spares. I must admit most of my favourite mod at the moment are all 21700 powered. Such as the new OXVA Velocity and DoVPo Topside Lite . In my opinion the option of running of either 18650, 20700 and 21700 is definitely a requirement on new mods coming to market. Giving you the ability to vape at higher wattages for longer.

Design and Build Quality of the Augvape Foxy One.
As with all Augvape Products, the Foxy One has been manufactured to an extremely high standard, and has a real premium feel to it, with its perfectly machined rolling edges, and well set leather trim.
Unlike the original Foxy Mod, which had quite a complicated design, with a novel Quick Released 510 connector and removable front panel, with hidden controls and screen. The Foxy One has more of a classic ‘C’ Shape chassis design, which has been machined out of a high grade zinc alloy, finished in some type of thick powder coating, which seems to have stood up very well over the three weeks of testing, with no chips or scratches so far.
I really like the fact that they have nicely tucked the screen and control buttons around the side of the device,so it doesn’t get in the way when holding it in your hand, and doesn’t detract from the rolling flowing curves, which run from top to bottom. Only intersected by the large, slightly raised fire button, which matches the mod body, in not only colour, finish, and smooth flowing edges.
Display
As I said the display is located on the side of the device, and is quite small, compared with the overall size of the device. Measuring in at only 0.96 Inches, they have done well to fit all the vaping stats in the display, whilst still giving you a very clear and very bright little display. I do find sometimes that you can get a really nice looking mod, that the spoil by putting a big plastic screen on, with a tiny useable area in the middle.
The Foxy One edge to edge display shows you the remaining battery life, in a simple bar, along with resistance, voltage draw and Wattage.
Function & Controls
The two unmarked control buttons are also located on the side of the device, just below the screen. The button are raised up just enough to make them easy to find, without interfering whilst holding it, or getting accidentally pressed. Whilst we are on the subject of buttons, the Foxy One, has some really well engineered buttons, with a solid yet smooth press, with a satisfying click, machined and finished out of the same Zinc Alloy as the body section, all contributing to the overall premium feel. All three buttons have a real ‘Apple-esk’ feel to them.
The controls on the Foxy One couldn’t be simpler, and complement its simple design. It offers three modes,
Standard Wattage mode, which allows you to vape all the way up to 120 watts.
Voltage Mode ~ Allows to to use the device in volts rather than Wattages , from 0.6 to 6.8 v
Bypass Mode ~ which allows you to run the device as if it was a Mech Mod, delivering you the power directly from the battery. Which on a fully charged 21700 has quite a kick to it. So be careful what build you have installed with this mode.
- Press fire button x5 is off and on
- Press fire button x3 fast to change the mode, VW - VV - BP
- Hit fire button to begin Vaping in your chosen mode.
- Up and down button together locks wattage adjustment, but still allows you to fire.
510 Connection
The 510 connection is nicely set in a contrasting Stainless Steel surround, which is slightly raised up from the device, which will prevent your atty from scratching up the finish on the top of your Foxy One.
Battery Compartment
As I have already mentioned the Foxy One gives you a choice batteries to power it, Allowing you to choose from 21700, 20700 and 18650.
The leather bound curved section of the device is held securely in place by three strong magnets, which take quite a tug when you want to remove, the strength of the magnets means that there is no battery rattle, or any kind of battery door movement.
Unlike other mods of a similar design, the battery is actually held securely in the door, by sliding the battery into the cut out in the door panel.
If you wish to use the 18650 battery, then simple drop your battery into the provided battery Adaptor.
Once you your battery is in place, then the battery and the door cage, then just snap into place.
Foxy One Performance.
They say that great things come in small packages, and that definitely hold true with the mighty Foxy One, It’s definitely one of the most compact 21700 mods that I have had the opportunity to test and review.
And trust me when I say the having the ability to run your Mod on a 21700 battery, makes all the difference, it means that you can vape at the wattage you want to vape at all day, without worrying about when you will run out of power. I have been happily vaping mine between 35w to 45w, paired up with the amazing Augvape Druga RTA with a single coiled Dual Clapton Coil all day, and not having to change out the battery till the morning.
Plus the fact that the Foxy One is super pocket friendly, and through clever design, is no bigger than most of my single 18650 mods.
Final Thoughts
Augvape have managed to put together a seemingly high end mod, with a pocket friendly price, that you will be able to run on all of your existing 18650 batteries, as well as the longer lasting 20700 and 21700. I would normally end the review with a Pro’s and Con’s but I really could find any Con’s with the Foxy One.
