The DovPo TVC Topside Dual 200w Squonk Mod Review
I have been using the DovPo Topside Single for about 6 mths and am a massive fan, it has been my solas go to squonker. So as you can imagine i was super excited when the team over at New Vaping sent over the DovPo Topside Dual, The Wotofo Recurve RDA, and a pair of Golisi S30 IMR 18650 Batteries, for the purpose of this review.
These products were sent to me for the purpose of these reviews, As always my thoughts and views are my own after a considerable testing and useage.

The original Top Side Dual, Comes in a choice of 8 colours, and since the launch of the Dual, they have also introduced the Limited Editions, which come in a paint spatter effect, the the legendary Topside Dual Carbon, which is produced out of a carbon blend, which is absolutely stunning, and is defiantly on my wish list for 2020.
Design and Build Quality.
The DovPo Topside Dual
The mod its self is constructed out of very durable materials, with the main body section being constructed out of Zinc Alloy, Due to its solid build, the device does have a fair weight to it, and feels nice and solid in the name, although some people may find it a bit on the heavy side, and may prefer the Topside Singe, which is considerable lighter. If you are carrying the Topside Dual, around all day in your pocket, you will want to make sure you have a good belt on, to keep your trousers up.
Measures 88.5mm by 54mm and will comfortably hold 22-28mm RDA’s with ease, and even the large RDA's don't look out of place. The mod its self has a premium feel to it, and has been constructed to the highest quality. Brain from TVC was obsessed over the build quality and finish of the device, in his question to produce the ultimate Squonk mod, and kept sending the prototypes back to iron out even the smallest imperfections in the design or the build.
The Top of the Topside Dual
The Topside features a static Gold Plated squonk pin, that is set perfectly inside the 510 connection, which has some of the best threading i have come across, on a mod of within this price range, and all the Arty's of have fitted, all thread on like a knife through butter..
I also like the fact that Brain has refrained from plastering the device in branding, which is sometimes the case when brands go in on a partnership.
The top section of the device is held in place with four recessed grub screws, that are neatly placed in the corners of the top plate.
The top plate then slopes down from the 510 connection towards the unique fill port, which has revolutionised the squonk industry, and lead to the name of the device, due to the fact that the fill port is on the top-side of the device, allow the user to simply unscrew the knarled top cap, to fill their squonk bottle, rather than having to mess about taking out the actual squonk bottle, removing the top cap, filling it, then trying to insert the full bottle, back into the device without, squirting liquid every where. I have always loved squonker, but until i tried the topside's i use to find filling such and paine, and ultimately such a mess.
The black top cap, features deep knurling around the out edge, which makes it super easy to remove and refit, allowing you to do it up nice and tight. The top cap itself has a magnet fitted inside of the spring loaded mechanism, which allows you to cleverly hang the top cap underneath the device when filling, to prevent having to place it down, or lose it.
Once the top cap has been removed, you can see the opening of the juice chamber. The underside of the top cap features two kidney shaped rubber bungs which fit tightly into the aluminium kidney shaped fill ports on the top of the fill bottle.
When you are fitting the top cap, you need to ensure that you line up the two kidney shapes with the fill ports, which is easier than you may first thing, as by design they seem to just automatically slot into place, as you start to turn the top cap. once in place you then need to apply slight downward pressure, to allow the threading to take grip, and then with 5 lite turns, it is done up tight.
The high level of precision manufacturing that has gone into the topside, is shown by the smoothness of the threading, and tight fit of the top cap.
The back of the Topside.
Rotating the Topside to the rear, allows us to check out the rear of the device, featuring a precisely cut out over sized squonking space, which takes up about half of the height of the topside body. giving you plenty of space to access the 10ml Squonk bottle. I'm pleased to see that they went for an over sized cut-out, There is nothing worse than having a squonk bottle that you have to try and get your finger or thumb onto, through a small or restricted opening.
The squonk bottle its self, come in a choice of either dark smoked rubber, or the clearer white bottle which i prefer, as easier to see how much juice you have left. Brain has also added a TVC logo on the bottle itself, The T not only looks good on the bottle, but also acts as a fold point, to allow the bottle to squeeze in perfectly, when squonked. With just the right amount of resistance.
Mod Sides
As you continue to rotate the device clock wise, you see the USB port, nicely recessed into the device, these little attentions to detail, really finish the device off, the fact that they have not only put the USB socket on the side, but the have neatly recessed it back, meaning that you can fit you USB cable with ease.
The USB socket, can be used for charging in an emergency, but i would always recommend removing the batteries from the device and charging them externally, and only use the USB socket for Software upgrades.
Front Face of the Top side.
The front face of the Topside Dual, features a large clicky fire button, which is set in a black panel running down from the top, the Click button, is perfectly proportioned with the rest of the mod,and is easierly located with the thumb or finger. and has a nice positive 'Click' to it. with a faultless action.
Recessed neatly below the fire button is the Topsides OLED display measuring 0.96in tall, featuring all the normal information that you would need on your mod, for easy daily use, and I'm please to say that they have made it large enough to be able to read it, nothing more frustrating that not being able to see the battery charge or wattage, with out have to put on reading glasses.
In the normal display is shows you the following information.
- Power Type.
- Battery usage
- Wattage
- Amps used
- Voltage
- Ohms of the coil.
Sighted below the screen is the control panel which houses the two control buttons, which are unmarked, but effectively the Positive and Negative buttons, which can be used to navigate through the menus, but mainly for adjusting your wattage/temp of the device. The mod will round robin from 5W to 200w in 5 watt increments until 100w then in 1w increments all the way to 200w.
Once again these can be easily located with you figures, due to the raised profile of the buttons. The panel itself is secured in place with two small grub screws,

The Base of the Topside Dual
The base of the device of coloured black to match the top section, The battery door its self is screwed into the body of the mod,
the door easliy opened with a push down and slide, you have printed on to the door, The DovPo Branding, and A TVC Creation and all the normal standards information, at the end of the battery door is a little magnet, which will, as stated, hold the top cap in place, when filling.
The Battery door opens on a single hinge, which i fear may be the weak point of the Topside, should it dropped, as the locking mechanism is quite finely tuned.
With the door open, you will see the magnet is screwed to the door, and the battery orientation marks are printed in white +A –B, So you can clearly see which battery is which, (as shown on the screen) To ensure the best connection, all the battery contacts are gold plated throughout?
Sponk Bottles
The 10ml Squonk bottle, of which the device kindly comes with two, are main out of silicone, and come caged in an external aluminium frame. The Squonk tudes come with a push fit cap, which means, with a little care, you can carry another Squonk bottle full of juice, ready to install, should you need to. Personally I wouldn't trust a push fit, on something holding juice, and due to the fact that the Topside is so easy to fill, i just tend to take a bottle of juice with me. But let that not take away from the fact that they very kindly supply two bottles with every kit.
With the top cap removed from the Topside, and whilst keeping it up right, to prevent juice from leaking, you can undo the battery door, and pull out the squonk bottle neatly fitted in its cage, This procedure only needs to be done when cleaning and washing out the bottle.
For a deep clean you can also take the squonk bottle out of its cage, by simply unscrewing the two grub screws at the top, to remove the top of the cage, and then the bottle, will simply slide out.
Filling Her Up.
As we have said the Topside is super easy to fill, and squonk, and really does open up squonking to a whole new segment of vapors, who would have bother with a more complicated/messy squonker.
To fill her up.....all you have to do is hold the device upright, unscrew the knurled cap, and squirt your juice in through one of the kidney holes, in the top. Being care full not to over fill it, as there have been reports of people filling them right up to the top, and then having issues with juice ingressing into the body of the mod, due to the squonking pressure forcing the excess juice in.
Every Day Use.
The DovPo Topside design, is a masterpiece of engineering and problem solving, and in my humble opinion is the perfect Squonker, giving you all the benefits of Squonking with your favourite RDA, Flavour, Vapor Production. with the connivance of a Tank, being able to hold ten ml of liquid, and super easy to fill up.
The only real downside on this version of the topside design is the size and weight, some people may find it a little heavy, and with its bulging sides, a little big in the hand. Personally I dont mind either the weight of the size. But do find i tend to use the Topside Dual at home, and then take out the TopSide X Single orginal if I am out and about, as you seem to get nearly the same about of charge off the single 21700 Battery in the Single, as you do out of the pair of 18650.
I have used loads of Squonking Devices over the last 6 years of Reviewing vape gear for my blog, and never really continued to use them after the review as my Every-Day-Device, to have at work, in the car and at home. And i must say that after getting the DovPo Topside X Single, and subsequently getting my hands on the Dual, it is all i really use. one or the other tends to go with me everywhere, I have had no issues with leakage, (unless self caused, by over filling), and i am confident to slip one in my work suit pocket, with no fear of it leaking out every where. and its this level of confidences that I have not had before with squokers, that truly makes the vaping experience.
I have recommended them to all of my vaping friends, who have gone on to subsequently fall in love with them aswell.
I do feel that when married up with your favourite RDA, Coils and Cotton. there is no better vaping device, delivering you faultless performance, and an overall great vaping experience.

Final Thoughts
I really cant recommend the Topside range of devices enough, Brian over at TVC, is a super star, managing to bring his idea to lift, and open up the world of Squonk, bring it into the main stream.
