Presentation.
As with most of the Kangertech product range, the Nebox arrived in a stylish presentation box, with a logo sleeve slide over the top, neatly holding it all together.
The sleeve simply lifts off, to allow you to open the lid of the box. the Nebox is set in a foam cut out, holding it securely in place. once removed the first layer cut out lifts out to reveal the rest of the kit.
As with the other Kanger products that i have reviewed the kit is very complete, with everything you will need, excluding the 18650 battery.

The Nebox comes in a choice of 4 colours, Black, White, Red and Blue
The body of the Nebox is machined out of Zinc Alloy and Aluminium Alloy, which then seems to be powder coated in your chosen colour, giving a nice matt finish to it. The design features a curved front and back edge to all it to fit comfortably in the hand.
Battery Compartment
The base of the device has two threaded caps, located off to the side.
The right hand recessed cap, centered around the middle of the device is the batter cap. which can be undone simply by using the edge of a coin.
Once loosened off it can be simply unscrewed, to gain access to the battery compartment.
The Battery cap seems to be brass or brass coated. with threading running around the outer edge. the threading on first use can be a bit clunky, and takes a bit of lining up, turning in, and loosening off, until it is bedded in. The battery simple slides in positive end first. and the cap screws back on, fitting flush with the bottom plate.
Tank Section
Next to the battery cap, is another threaded cap, this one has knurled edges to it, and is used to gain access to the tank section of the device.
The tank cap also incorporates the air flow for the device, which I must point out is non-adjustable, and flows directly up into the coil.
The threaded base cap directly holds the coil in place.
The Nebox comes with the NI200 coil pre-installed. and also includes the SSOCC 0.5 ohm The newly designed Stainless Steel coil in the kit.
When the cap and coil have been removed from the device, you can gain access to the tank section.
The tank section on the device is constructed out of plastic, rather than glass, so you do need to be a bit careful as to the type of juice that you fill in with, avoiding any Tank Crackers'. To fill the juice, you simple squirt the juice down the holes between the tank wall and the chimney base. avoiding getting any juice down the center chimney whole.
The level of the juice can be inspected through the plastic full length viewing window on the side of the device.
The tank will hold a full 10ml of liquid, which will keep even the heaviest vapor going.
Unfortunately the tank section is non-removable, so you need to be a bit careful when washing the tank out, not to flood the rest of the device. All i did was to run a trickle of warm water down into the tank and then let it run out down the chimney. and then just let it air dry.
Control Panel and Functions.
Located on the opposite side to the tank you have the control panel and OLED screen.
The button has a solid 'click' to it, but does rattle a little bit in its hole.
Pressing the Fire button five times turns the device on and off.
Pressing the Fire button 3 times enters the device into Mode menu.
Modes The NEBOX uses three different modes.
M1 is for use of nickel wire such as with the Ni 200s and newly designed SSOCC 0.15ohm coils.
M2 is designed for use with Titanium wire,
M3 is wattage mode and will fire the coil irrespective of the temperature of the coil in the exact same way a non temperature control variable wattage device works.
You can scroll through the 3 modes by using the (+) and (-), then by simply pressing the fire button to select your chosen mode.
Presets
The NEBOX also makes use of 6 presets. Somewhat confusingly these presets are also labelled with the prefix "M".
M1 to M4 offer four presets for use with temp control,
M5 to M6 offer two presets for use in wattage mode.
The general idea here is to have a high and low setting for nickel (M1 and M2), titanium (M3 and M4) and wattage mode (M5 and M6) but the user can change the value of these presets to suit whatever set up they want.
This is done through the options & Adjustment menu. to enter this menu simple turn the device off, (5 clicks) then press and hold the (+) & (-) buttons together for two seconds. you can then scroll through the presets using the fire button, and make adjustments using the (+) & (-).
In this menu you can also rotate the screen display, depending on your orientation.
OLED Screen.
The NEBOX features what i would say a small OLED , measuring only about 20mm long by about 8mm wide. and for such a small screen they sure do fit quite alot of information on it.

The screen is clear and bright, if not a little on the small side.
Function Buttons.
Located under the OLED screen are the two function buttons (+) and (-).
The two small black buttons, sit proud of the body, but dont seem to have any clear markings on them, but as with most mods, the top botton is (+) and the bottom button is (-). As with the fire button, they have a nice positive 'click; to them. but do rattle a little.
Charging.
The NEBOX can be charged by either removing the 18650 battery and charging it in a stand alone charger, or via the micro USB, located beneath the function buttons.
There have been reports of the NEBOX leaking juice whilst charging, which when I first had the device, I did find happening a little. In response Kangertech posted the following statement on Facebook.
Our Engineers have performed charging test of the NEBOX.
100 set of NEBOX charge at 500mAH wall charger, there is no leak appear from the air base of NEBOX. While for 1000mAH or above charger, Juice droplet may appear below the air base, or afterwards appear during vape.
The reason is high current charging turn NEBOX tank warm up and cause the air inside the tank to expand and push juice leaks to the air base.
We suggest end user to use the charger of 500mAH to charge up the NEBOX or pick out the 18650 cell to charge by separate charger. In case you only have 1000mAH charger, try laying down the NEBOX in flat table while chargingAt the meantime, Kangertech engineers make effort to improve this condition and remind card is attached inside the NEBOX.”"
Drip Tip
The NEBOX features a Delrin removable drip tip, that simply snaps into the the 510 hole in the top of the device, connecting down through the tank section.
Mini RBA.
The NEBOX also includes the standard Rebuildable deck section, to allow you to build your own coils and run them in the NEBOX.

Atheistic's and Build Quality
I was really looking forward to getting my hands on the NEBOX, and getting to grips with this compact vape. and i wasn't disappointed, As with all Kanger products i have reviewed. The build quality and finish is spot on. The Black edition that i was sent has a great matt black finish to it, which gives it a nice premium feel to it, and so far has been fairly chip and scrach resistant.Kanger Tech have really had to work hard to fit a mod and tank into such a small package. considering that the complete NEBOX including the inbuilt tank, is about the same size as the battery on my Evic. And that still has the tank to go on top.
It has a really good form factor, and just fits in the hand so well. and real stealth vape.
Performance & Real World Experiences
I have really enjoyed using the NEBOX, it has been the perfect out and about vape, the biggest tank I have come across, There is no worry about running out of juice. It fits in you pocket a treat.
Vaping wise, the NEBOX has plenty of power to satisfy most everyday vapors. and i found with the stock coils in performed really well.
I did find that the NI200 coils produced quite a sizzle, when in use and produced quite a warm to hot vape, even when i turned the temp right down. I think it may be a characteristic of the Kanger Coils as i found simple of the subtank range. Still not the biggest fan of TC, and still prefer standard Kanthal. but thats just me.
Considering the Tank is build in I had no trouble filling and cleaning it, although you may want to pick up a long nose dropper, to assist in filling. cleaning as i said, i just rang a trickle of water into the tank to clean it out.
The only real bug bare i had with it, was the screen, for my rubbish eyes i just found the screen to small. but that is just me. apart from that, loved using it. the perfect out and about vape.
Conclusion.
If you are looking for an out and about vape that you wont need to keep topping up. Then this is the device for, Looks Great, Performs Great. and is Mega Value for money considering what you get in the starter pack.
What would I change?
- Bigger Brighter Screen.
- Adding a bit of texture or grip to it, or include a Skin.
