The Theorem came fully assembled and coiled, ready to Vape, just add juice.(took the cotton out for the photos) I would though recommend trimming down the wicks that come pre-installed, to assist with the wicking.
For the purpose of this review, I will break it down into its component parts, to allow us to look at each part in details, before building it back up, and looking at the Notch coil build, aswell as putting a fresh standard build in it.
An seeing how it Vapes.
An seeing how it Vapes.
Drip Tip
The comes with stainless steel and glass drip tip, measuring 39mm wide by 14.5mm tall, with a standard 510 connection, which is held in place two fat o-rings.
The supplied drip tip has quite a narrow bore, measuring only 4.5mm wide.
Top Cap Section.
The top cap is made up of three component parts, which make up the top section of the Theorem.
The top plate is a stainless steel threaded rind, that's is used to lock down the the air-flow control ring, once screwed down.
The top plate section is machined in two disk rings, the top section measuring 19.1mm, sitting on top of a wider 22mm base section, with threading running up through the middle of the wider base, which allows you to get a slight finger grip on it, to allow to to tighten in down, over the air-flow control disk.
The Theorem comes with a choice of either single or dual flow air-flow rings.
Single Air-flow Ring |
Dual Air-Flow Ring |
The choice of air flow rings allows you customize and fine tune your air flow, with the following set ups.
Single Air-flow Ring- rotated above the coil, allowing for front air flow from above,
Single Air-flow Ring - rotated to the rear, directing airflow through the airflow block to flow in directly behind the coil.
Dual Air-flow Ring - allows for airflow through both front and rear of the coil.
The air flow ring simply rests on top of the lower top cap section,
Where you then simply screw down the top section, to lock it in place.
It is screwed down onto the lower top cap section.
Which consists of the stainless steel top cap base plate, with threaded centre shaft, with kidney shaped air flow slots either side. Hung underneath attached by two screws, is the airflow control block.
The Jay Bo branded block, not only directs the air-flow through to the back of the coil, but also blocks off the juice fill hole when in place.
Tank Section
The Theorem comes supplied with the pre-install glass tank, along with a spare, which comes in the kit.
Along with the glass tank, it also comes the the glass and stainless steel sleeve, which gives the Theorem a whole new look.
Base Section & Build Deck
The base section and build deck are machined out of stainless steel, into this unique layout and design. The Theorem features a gold plated 510 connection, which is set in the sold stainless steel surround,
Featuring the Wismec logo and signed off by Jay Bo and Suck my Mod.. The 22mm base section has a recessed lip running around it, with two blue o-rings, which securely holds the tank section in place when installed.
The 510 connection runs up through the stainless steel shaft section, which connects into the base of the build deck, running up to the positive post
To allow for a variety of build combinations, the Theorem features two negative post terminals,,and one T-shaped positive post, which incorporates two independent grub screw terminal connections. To allows for dual builds.
The Build deck, has two wide bore wick slots machined into the deck,
Which allow for easy wicking of both parrell and vertical builds.
On the opposite side to the build section is the juice fill hole, which is plenty large enough to fill using either a glass dripper or long needle nose bottle.
When filling, you do need to be able to insert the dropper or bottle tip and to get the juice, down into the bottom of the tank,if not you do seem to get air pockets developing, The Glass tank then simply slides down over the deck, and is held in place by the two o-rings at the on the base.
Once in place the Top cap simple press fits in place. lining up the air-lfow block with the juice hole.
the Air-Flow-ring, can then be placed on, and rotated to create the desired level of air-flow, to either the front or the rear of the coil.
and whilst holding the air-flow ring in place with one finger, you can screw the top plate in place, being careful not to rotate the ring, as you screw it down. and install your drip tip.
Brand-new NotchCoil
The Theorem comes pre-installed with the all Brand new NotchCoil, along with a spare one in the kit.
The Wismec Notch Coil is machined out of stainless steel, measuring 5mm internal diameter, and running out at 0.25ohm.
The cotton can easily be replaced, as and when you want to change out the flavour. I ran these coils in regular power mode on my cuboid, and did find that when i tried to run it in SS mode, it worked for a bit and then jumped back to power mode. they produced a nice level of flavour, and good vapor production.
When re-wicking the NotchCoil, simply pull out the old cotton, and pull through you fresh, 7mm strip of cotton.
Then gently fold it down into the wick channels, to allow you to get a guide as to where to trim
I found that it wick best when it is cut about 5mm below the deck.
The Theorem Build.
Once you have removed the NotchCoil, you can have a go at putting you favourite build on the deck. .
For the purpose of the this review i used one of the CoilMaster pre-made 24Awg Kanthal coils. The first thing you need to do, to ensure that the build sits center on the deck, is to dog leg one of the tail on the coil.
after giving it a dry fit, you can sort of guess where to bend it to get the best centered fit.
Then after tightening down the negitive tail, you have plenty of room in the long slotted positive T-Post to tighten it down under the grub screw.
After pre-doglegging the coil, it should come out sitting nicely in the center. then it is simply a matter of gently pulling your cotton through.
And as with the NotchCoil, folding it down into the wick ports.
and trimming it to length. Once trimmed you can then slide the tank section over the top.
Once in place you need to create a small air gap next to the cotton to allow the air to move in when the juice wicks.
its then just a matter of e juicing her up, through the juice hole at the back of the deck. trying not to trap any air.

From the moment I saw the design of this Atty, i loved it, with its simple uncluttered design, showing off its internal skeleton for all to see. It is great to see new fresh designs coming onto the market, It has been built using the best materials and precisely engineered, which allows it to fit together perfectly, (a little to perfectly some times, when trying to get the tank section off.) The thing that makes the Theorem stand out from the crowd, is not only its striking looks, but just how well it has been thought and and designed. Fresh idea's with a really fresh feel to it.
Performance & Real World Experience
I must admit that the Theorem made me more than a little nervous when it first arrived, it just felt so fragile, even getting it out of the box. and getting it apart for the first time, was well, tense, after removing the top cap, section with ease, you then have to push your thumb down onto the build deck, whilst hold the tank in my other hand. I just made me a little uneasy pushing that hard onto glass, I have visions off slicing my thumb open as the tank crack. But in saying that I thankfully havent had any breakages, and still have all my fingers and thumbs. Once it has been used and there is a bit of juice of the o-rings it comes apart a lot easier.
I found that the NotchCoils performed well, if a little lacking in flavour, and found my self swapping them out quite quicky, for the standard coils. which, for me improved the devices, vapor production and flavour no end. I also swapped out the little glass drip tip, as i found it just a little to small for me, and switched over the the dual slot air flow. And that is the beauty of the Theorem, is the ability to fine tune and customise you vaping experience.
Filling
Filling can some times be a little trick, and you need to ensure that you are getting you dripper, or needle tip down into the whole, you cant just drip it neat the hole, or you end up with the juice just all sitting there, with a big air-pocket underneath. which was a bit of an issue with some of the shorter tipped juice bottles, which wouldnt reach the fill hole due to the glass tank height surrounding it, no issues with glass drippers.
Wicking.
I had no issues at all with wicking, and believe me this thing wicks fast, you do find yourself re-filling the small 2.7ml quite a lot, and in that aspect it is very similar to using a dripper.
Leakage.
For some reason i thought i would have to be careful not to cause any leakage when using it. due to the fact that it all just press fits together. But due to the high level of engineering, I have had zero leakage, even when i tip it upside down to get the last bit out of the tank. Although i wouldn't be happy walking around with it in my pocket, Mainly because of the fear of crushing or smashing it.
Conclusion.
The Theorem takes you as close to the dripping experience without actually dripping, great flavour, and vapor production, in a well designed and thought out tank. It still makes me a little nervous the fact that it is all glass, and press fitted together, but, its worth it. I love the fact that it gives you so many options, to perfect you vaping experience. a great addition to any vapors collection,
