Key Features of the FREEMAX Maxus Kit.
SmartLoad Tech - Load at Will
No polarity determined, easy battery load in the Maxus 200W Mod.
Support single battery load also. Compatible with 18650 battery.
Multiple Output Modes & Smart Coil Detection Function
The Maxus 200 knows which coil has been installed and will select the correct mode and output setting to match the coil.
3 steel balls for stronger friction
Three steel balls are added into the top cap to increase friction, you can still fill the tank
with single hand but there’s little chance of loosening
top cap and potential leaking.
Design and Build Quality.
Constructed from durable zinc-alloy, with a multi-element color panel to suit your style.
The colourful resin panel, although nice, is only on one side of the device, which I do find a little bit strange, not sure which such a great design, you would only have it on one side, but each to there own I suppose.
There is subtle branding with the mod name MAXUS etched into the back edge, as well as on the back.
510 Connection.
On the top of the device you have an off-set 510 connection, again I’m not quite sure why it is slightly offset, either hard it off set, or have it located in the middle, not half way between the two, or maybe it is just my Mod OCD playing tricked on me.
Also on the device I received the 510 connection plate was set slightly high, which means that your 510 connected atomiser, never sits flush, and also it leaves a sharpe edge around the 510 plate, when you run you fingers over it.
Battery Compartment
As mentioned in the key features list, the FREEMAX Maxus 200w has what they have names SmartLoad Tech , which allows you to ‘Load at Will’, meaning that you can install your batteries as you wish, both in the same direction, up or down, or both in opposite directs, as there is no predetermined polarity,
So fool proof battery loading 🔋 🔋 . Or if needed you could run the device off one battery, although you can only run the watts up 80watts, rather than the full 200w.
Once you decide which way around the batteries are going, then you can fit your magnetic door in place, which has a well thought out plastic coating on the inside of the door, for complete battery safety, and to prevent any possible shorts. Unfortunately the battery door on the one I was sent, didn’t fit securely, and does have a small amount rattle, which is a bit of a shame.
Maxus Functions and controls.
On the front of the device, you have an oversized square fire button, that has a nice solid press, although does have a little bit of button rattle. Along with the control buttons under the OLED screen.
The FREEMAX Maxus 200w features the FM CHIP-MAXUS 1.0 Chipset, which delivers a near-instantaneous firing speed of 15ms, delivering clouds of tasty vapor at the press of a button.
Maxus 200W also supports multiple output modes, including Power, VPC, Bypass, Temperature Control (TC), and Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR),
Five Click on, which displays the main screen, displaying the mode, battery power remaining, selected wattage, puff counter, coil resistance and voltage drawn.
A further three clicks will take you into the features menu. Which allows you to select the MODE, SETTINGS, DEVICE INFO.
Pressing the fire button whilst highlighting the MODE, takes you into a further screen, allowing you to choose between, POWER, VPC, BYPASS, TC TI, TC SS, TC NI, TCR123. Covering all coil types. To suit all vapours.
Exiting back out of MODE, you can scroll down using your function + & - buttons. With in the SET menu, you can control how long your screen displays before time out, Test the Coil, reset your puff counter, adjust the Time, and switch between C / F in temp mode.
Whilst INFO with supply you with full info about your batteries, as well as software version.
FREEMAX Mesh Pro Tank.
FREEMAX state on their website that ‘The MESH POR TANK is the brand new updated version of the legend M Pro tank, which was the World’s First Double, Triple, Quad, Quint Mesh Coil sub-ohm tank, and is highly recognized by the market for its superior cloud, flavor and coil longevity.
M Pro 2 Tank can hold 5mL of eJuice. It is designed with a knurled glass tube and has a beautifully matching appearance.
The highest achievement lies in the coil provided. M Pro 2 Tank is compatible with the mesh coil newly made with FreeMax CoilTech 4.0 coil tech, composed of new metal material SS904L and tea fiber cotton, can to atomize every single E-liquid molecule and achieve the most exquisite of the restored flavor.’
Choice of coils.
On the FREEMAX website they state, that the Upgraded from FREEMAX COILTECH 1.0,2.0 and 3ohm, the COILTECH 4 is the latest generation of mesh coil technology and maybe the final generation of MESH equipped with military grade SS904L mesh and Tea Fibre Cotton formula (95%Tea fiber Cotton plus 5% Organic Cotton), the M Pro is able to provide you with the best vaping experience which is even better than all the best sub ohm tanks on the market.
The tank breaks down into its component parts, for easy cleaning. By simply unscrewing the Base section of the tank, which houses the air-flow section, and holds the coil firmly in place.
Once unscrewed the glass tank simply pulls out. Allowing the tank to separate.
The top section of the tank, features a slide out fill port, simply sliding the top section across on its ball bearing slider, reveals the small fill port section. And ensure that there is no leakage, whilst the cap is in place, and securely closed.
Performance and every day use.
The coil set up in the Mesh Pro Tank. Delivers a great amount of flavour, and some serious cloud, although I did find that the coils did’nt last as long as I thought they would, when vaping then at about 55w.
For everyday use and vaping, I did find the tank a little on the large size, aand looks a bit top heavy, and I would have preferred a bit more of a compact tank. But for Vaping at home it was a great set up.
The device performed faultlessly, with no real ramp up time, and great power delivery. And an endless amount of options, and set up, to get the perfect vape.
I think the battery system is super clever, being able to load the batteries any way around, and even run it on one battery. Hopefully we will start seeing the included in other mods. And a real step forward in Mod and chip set design.
