Geekvape have been been in 2020, bringing out a host of new products as well as refining their current ones, one such device that has continued to be developed and refined the Aegis Boost range. What started off a a simple all-weather Pod system has been developed into a multi use Vaping platform, offering vapors more versatility when it comes to their chosen style of vaping.

Geekvape has made a new pod cartridge for the Pro version which has a trio inlet airflow adjustment mechanism and a new coil series, the Geekvape P series mesh coils. Along with the upgraded Pod system, Geekvape have updated the UI giving it a bright new screen and layout.

The P Series coil, will allow you to run all the way up to 70w, to allow you to produce greater cloud, and more intense flavour, taking the humble pod to its upper limits of design.

The increase in coil size had to be matched by the increase in airflow, to allow for the intake of air to keep up with the increased wattage, and vapor. So the team at Geekvape redesigned the iconic airflow wheel, and scaled it up.

Still keeping with the wheel design, but adding airflow in under the coil and well as to the sides, producing a much more airy vape. With the airflow wide open, this thing is super loose. But with a turn of the wheel, you can turn it down and fine tune your vape.

With 510 Adaptor in place and with the new increased Wattage, you have your self a cracking little 18650 Mod, with all the power you are going to need, and the flexibility of switching from pod to mod. Brilliant design, which you are finding on more and more devices that are being launched. Not quite sure who the first on was the give you the ability to convert from pod to mod.

Its great to be able to stick a 510 RDA or RTA onto top of the Boost Pro, as it is such a cool looking mod with the 510 plate attached. great design, and a must have accessory for you Boost Plus.
The top cap features a small cut out at the front that aligns with a notch on the deck to prevent the cap from turning when adjusting the side airflow. Removing the cap reveals a nice classic single coil dual post off set deck. which is one of the easiest build decks i have come across and great for newer vapours to hone their craft. and practice coiling and wicking.
Either side of the deck are two large wicking holes, which fee down into the tank section of the pod. giving you ample room to wick, and still leave room for air to move.
The post holes on this thing are massive, and will allow you to fit some pritty massive coils in. for the purpose of this review, i decided to go with a nice fused clapton coil.
As I said it is one of the easiest decks to build on, simply push the coil legs through the extra large post hole, locate the coil in the center of the deck. and then tighten the flat head screws down.
Once in place you can carefully snip off the legs, and the pulse fire your coil to enable you to remove all the hot spots from the coil, and to get it glowing nicely.
Once you are happy with the way the coil is burning, and you have let it cool down, then its just a matter of pulling your cotton through, and once through, carefully combing out the cotton, to allow it to wick correctly, as you dont want to stuff to much cotton down into the wholes,
You want enough cotton, to not let juice leak out around the hole, but not to much cotton to prevent it from wicking. it really is trail and error. and the nice thing with a RDTA, is you have open access to the cotton, so if it is not wicking correctly, you can just pull the top off, pull the cotton out, and comb a bit out, or trim a bit off.

Geekvape very kindly sent of the prelaunch reviewers case, which was full of Aegis products, to highlight the increased functionality of the new a refined Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro. During this review, we will be looking at the New Pro, Coils,Pods and RDTA. I won’t be going into the Aegis Boost Mod, in as much normal detail. What was included in the kit.
The Reviews kit came with the following items.

- 1 x Boost Pro 6ml Pod.
- 1 x Boost Plus 5.5ml Pod
- 1 x Boost Pro RDTA
- 1 x Boost 510 Adaptor
- 1 x P Series Coil KA1 0.2ohm (60-70w)
- 1 x P Series Coil KA1 0.4ohm (50-60w)
- 1 x B Series Coil KA1 0.3ohm (30-38w)
- 1 x B Series Coil KA1 0.4ohm (25-33w)

The reviews case contained all the separate parts of the New Boost Pro, to be clear, this was a prelaunch pack, and is not available to buy as a retail set, at this stage I am unclear what will come with what as far as the retail products. I would imagine that you will buy the Boost Pro including the two new pods, and then will have to purchase the RDTA Pod and 510 Adaptor seperatly,

Boost Plus Vs Boost Pro
Looking at the devices side by side you may think the Boost plus and the Pro look very similar, and you would be correct in you assumptions, the changes that Geekvape have made aren’t apparent from first looks. One of the main differences in the power, whereas the Plus would fire up to 40w, the Pro will now fire all the way up to 100w. The Pro still runs on a single 18650, although personally I would have liked to them fit a more powerful 21700 cell. For on the more charging the have upgraded the Pro to feature a Type C upgrade and charging port.
Geekvape has made a new pod cartridge for the Pro version which has a trio inlet airflow adjustment mechanism and a new coil series, the Geekvape P series mesh coils. Along with the upgraded Pod system, Geekvape have updated the UI giving it a bright new screen and layout.
For all of you that went and bought the Boost Plus, and Accessories, Geekvape have made the New Pro backwards compatible, so if you already have a 510 Adaptor and RDTA Pod, they are interchangeable between the Plus and the Pro. The only thing that won’t fit them both is the new beefy pod and P series Coil.
Boost Pro Pod.
New to the Aegis Boost Pro is the newly designed Boost Pro Pods, with a larger 6ml tank and larger more powerful coils. With new innovative upgraded Gen 2 AFC design on its 6ml capacity exclusive pod the aegis boost pro, to allow you to boost up you vaping experience, Compared to the previous Gen 1 AFC on the Boost and the Boost Plus which only had one inlet in the front, the GeN 2 AFC adds two more inlets beneath the control ring, more air can easily get in to create a bigger and thicker cloud.
Specification Pro Pod.
Size : 39.74 x 50.15mm
Capacity: 6ml
P Series Coil KA1 0.2ohm (60-70w)
P Series Coil KA1 0.4ohm (50-60w)
The new upgrade Pro Pod, not only holds more ejuice, and has a wider bore drip to, but it also features the new and up rated Geekvape Coil. The new higher rated P series Coil.
The new upgrade Pro Pod, not only holds more ejuice, and has a wider bore drip to, but it also features the new and up rated Geekvape Coil. The new higher rated P series Coil.
The P Series coil, will allow you to run all the way up to 70w, to allow you to produce greater cloud, and more intense flavour, taking the humble pod to its upper limits of design.
The larger sized coil of cause need a large pod the house it in, and hence the pro pod was born.
The increase in coil size had to be matched by the increase in airflow, to allow for the intake of air to keep up with the increased wattage, and vapor. So the team at Geekvape redesigned the iconic airflow wheel, and scaled it up.

Pro Pod Performance.
I have been vaping on the the new Pro Pod all week at work, and have been super impressed with the intense flavour that you get out of the new coil, and vapor production for a pod system if on another level, with the airflow wide open this thing goes like a steam train, not your normal pod vapor trail.
510 Adaptor
As with the Plus, and sharing the same Adaptor, the Boost Pro, can be converted into a standard 100w Mod, with just a simple snap in of the 510 plate.
With 510 Adaptor in place and with the new increased Wattage, you have your self a cracking little 18650 Mod, with all the power you are going to need, and the flexibility of switching from pod to mod. RDTA Pod.
When i heard that Geekvape where bringing out the Pro i was super excited to see what the RDTA base would be like, as the original Boast RDTA pod, had real wicking and filling issues.
To my delight, Geekvape had done a great job on the new RDTA, and had virtually put a full size RDA on top of a Pod.
With a full size build deck, top cap and drip tip. The tank that it sits on seems to be the same size as the 6ml Pro Pod, So it will hold plenty of juice to keep the coil and cotton well feed.
Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro RDTA Build.
Once you are happy with the cotton, you can soak the coil and cotton with your choosen juice, and then fill the tank up. so please that they made the fill port on the Pro a bit bigger, so to allow air to escape when filling. as if not in becomes virtually impossible. So big thunbs up on the deck and fill port.
Too Much Airflow.
My only really issue with the whole Boost Pro kit, and pods. is the airflow on the RDTA pod, for some strange reason Geekvape have given you perfect adjustable airflow on the side of the chamber, but then also given it massive bottom airflow, and then made it not adjustable. Very strange. for me it completely spoiled the vape on the RDTA, to the point that i had to get some Gorilla Tape, cut a circle and stick it over the front wheel. I cant think why they wouldnt have put the same adjustment that they have perfected on the other Boost pods. or given you a number of different sized airflow plugs, with different sized wholes in the middle that you could put down in the hole in the middle of the deck. or some kind of solid plug to allow you to bloke off the center hole all to together.
The closing off of the the front airflow hole, absolutly transformed the vape with the RDTA. improving the draw, making it less noisy and ramped up the flavour.
Final Thoughts on the Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro.
Super impressed with the kit that Geekvape sent out, and the improvements that they have made over the Boost Plus, as it definitely needed the increase in the wattage. to cope with the larger coils, and bigger builds. and the new Pro Pod, and Pro P Coils are amazing, although as expected they do such the juice a little bit. But the flavour that you get off them is amazing, plus room filling vapor production.
My only wishes for the next new Aegis Boost Pro Pro, would be firstly a shorter name maybe the Mega Boost, adjustable airflow on the RDTA, or supply a black sticker to cover the hole. and lastly I would like to see the move over to a 21700 battery, to to give you that extra bit of power, and to last a bit longer during the day, as the bigger coils, definably seem to such you the battery as well as the juice.
But all in all, I would defiantly be recommending the New Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro.
