As you can see the Zeus X RTA comes with wide selection spares and supplies. Allowing you to customise the look of the Zeus X, by changing out the O-rings, and drip tips.
You have a choice of drip tips to choose from. An Alton 810 style tall bot, a 510 Adaptor. As well as a profiled 810 for more airflow, and a warmer vape, taking your lips closer to the coils.
As well as the drip tip selection, the kit also includes a choice of grub screws, allowing you to choose from grub screws or flat heads, plus you get a nice pair of Geekvape Coils and cotton, to get you coiling.
As well as the famous orange T Tool and small Alan key for the grub screws.
The Zeus X comes fully assembled, but will break down into its multi component parts, for cleaning.
The top cap comes off with a quarter turn. And has an 810 drip tip hole.
The airflow control ring, slides off the center chamber and inner chimney, it has two large slots in each side to allow you to fully adjust the air drawing into the X.
The top section of the chimney has two large kidney shaped fill ports, to allow you to easily fill up the tank.
The fill top runs down into the chimney section, which flairs out into the inner chamber, which has the Zeus branding engraved into the side.
Turning the inner chamber over, reveals the inner workings of the airflow.
The airflow channels are machined into the top edge of the inner walls of the chamber, which directs the airflow down into the chamber.
One of the main differences with the X is the inner airflow chamber, which cleverly directs the airflow down and directly onto the coils, and onto the deck.
The airflow is drawn down through the multiple air holes, on the top and the side of the chamber.
The inner airflow chamber drops into the main chamber, and is held in place by the fat o-rings, and can be easily popped out by pulling it out with your figure.
The inner chamber also has two cut outs in the bottom edge, which ensure that the deck is perfectly aligned every time you put it back together.
The build deck sits on top of the 510 connect, which has the standard underside branding,
The build deck itself has a post less design, with the post holes sitting on top of two sort of bridge sections,
I think they have raised up the deck to allow to coils to be raised up, and to allow the airflow to come around, I initially thought that the gaps underneath, were to allow you to snip the coil legs off, but there doesn’t seem to be enough room.
The build.
The deck allows for you to either install a single coil, or dual coil, I cut the coil lets at 4.5 and simply dropped them through the holes.
Once you have decided on single or dual coil, it’s just a matter of tightening the screws down, and the straightening the coils, ensuring you have no shorts, and the are not touching on anything.
The you can dry burn the coil, to set it in place, and ensure that you get all the hot spots out.
Then thread your cotton through, and trim to length, and comb out the cotton,
And then carefully poke the cotton down into the juice ports, ensuring that the cotton fills the port.
Then juice up the cotton, and make sure it is all primed up.
Performance
I tried it first with the single coil, and I think I must have combed the cotton out a little to much as the coil just seemed to flood a bit and you just get a flooded spitting vape and if you turned the tank upside down, the juice just dropped straight out. So took it apart again, and rewicked it, but this time I back combed the cotton, rather than combing it out, to maximise the volume of the cotton, then carefully poked the cotton, down into the wick ports, ensuring that they completely fill the ports, and prevent any juice back flow of juice.
Once I had rewicked it, it vaped really well, and had a great level of flavour, with plenty of thick dense vapour, with the 810 Altum drip tip it produces a nice dense warm vapour.
The tank is quite a tall RTA due to the top airflow routing, and the top fill section, which all add to the height.
Once it has been wicked well, it wicks really well, with zero issues of any dry hits, or flooding.
Conclusion
