The LostVape URSA has taken the Pod Mod to the next level, with the introduction of the Vape Multi-kit. Giving the user the choice of how to use the kit. First introduced with the OXVA Velocity The kit has the ability and function to have the included pods installed onto the body via the airflow control ring, or the option to install the 510 treaded adapter, which will allow you to install all of your standard 510 RTA, RDA and sub ohm tanks.
Mod Body.
The URSA is build around the aluminium, hand filling body section, which reminds me of a light sabre, with its Exposed aluminium exo-skeleton. The shape of the body is made up of two oversized side panels which reach up, either side of the connection point.
The tube section of the mod which houses the battery. Comes in a choice of colours and finishes, from wood to leather. Strangely the leatherette finishes seem to change over use, and the painted surface of the leather , seems to easily wipe over when juice makes contact with it, to reveal the silver textured base. Which gives each of the mods, its own look and feel. Mine changed from black textured leather, to a shiny silver finish.
The top section of the device is what gives the URSA its transformer quality’s.
Top Section
The spring loaded pod section, is held securely in place by a pair of clips on either side. Which are controlled by the metal buttons on either side. To to remove the pod and airflow ring, you have to firmly press the buttons, which then releases the pod, with an upward spring motion.
Once the pod is removed you can see the spring loaded contact pin. Once the pod section is removed you have the option to install the 510 connection , by pressing the two side buttons, whilst pushing the 510 firmly into place.
The first URSA kit I was sent did have an issue with this mechanism, and the pod section wouldn’t stay in place, which seemed to be due to the way it clipped in place. New Vaping proved once’s again how good there customer service is, and instantly sent out a replacement, to continue with the review.
URSA Pods - Lots of Choice
The Lost Vape Ursa Kit comes with two different pods, one of which uses of the ‘UB’ coils, and the other uses the slightly larger UB PRO’ coils, as well as having the ability of running the RBA coil inside.
Both of the pods are very similar to each other, as far as it goes with fill volume, ranging from 6ml to 7ml respectively. unfortunately if you purchase your kit in the UK both pods have been restricted to only 2ml, due to the TPD Police, which is totally ridiculous, considering the actually size of the Pod is the same, and they have fitted a rubber bung inside the tank. Which can be removed with some careful tweezer work and a lot of patience. It would have been nice if you could have taken the pod apart, but what fun would that be.
Both of the pods in the kit, will screw onto the pod airflow ring, which allows them to attach to the device. As with most pod systems on the market, they have tinted the plastic, which can make it tricky to see how much juice you have left. Really not sure why company’s make them so dark. I can only think it is for the looks of the device.
Both of the pods come preinstalled with 810 drip tip, which follows the sloping sides of the pod, and gives it a one piece look. The pods can be filled whilst in place, which is great, as nothing worse than having to remove the pod, before filling. The well sized filling port is located on the side of the pod, and has an easy to open rubber plug inserted, which is attached to the pod, to prevent it being lost. So the only time you need to remove the pod, is when swapping out the easy to install push fit coils.
The only real difference between the two pod apart from juice volume, is the opening underneath, where the coil fits, the larger opening takes the larger pro UB coil and RBA Base, whilst the smaller opening takes the standard UB coil.
Airflow Control
The airflow control is done through the well machined and well thought out pod base. Which has sliders on both sides, allowing you to fine tune your vaping experience, which out having to remove the pod, as you do on the OXVA Velocity.
Controls and Screen
The front section of the URSA features a 0.96-inch brightly lite colour screen, which clearly displays all the information you will need. Unlike most other devices on the market, the URSA has a 4-button system, which can be a little strange when you start using it.
A fire button, Up and Down and a select button, which is located between the up and down, not quite sure why they give you a select button, when you can use the fire button to confirm your selection.
Main function controls.
- Device On/Off – 5 Clicks Fire Button
- Lock/Unlock Device – Press & Hold Up & Down Button.
- Puff Reset – Down button until you reach ‘Puff’ Option, then select button
- To Open the main Menu – Down button until you reach ‘Settings’ Option, then Press the select Button.
The settings on the URSA are fairly easy to navigate, allowing you to adjust the output power, screen brightness along with changing your individual user settings so you can fine your vape, depending on you personal preference.
Battery Compartment .
You gain access to the battery compartment via a threaded cap on the base, the type that you need nails, to lift the half loop that allows you to unthread it. The threaded on the dap is well machined and smooth to open. Although I do worry about over tightening it, and damaging the battery. But I haven’t had any issues. The URSA runs off a 21700 battery, and comes with a small Adaptor, which will allow you to run it on 18650 batteries as well.
Performance and Every Day Vaping.
I have using the Lost Bape URSA Quest for the last few weeks, and apart from the issues with the faulty unit, the URSA has been a real pleasure to use. I have mainly been using it in pod mod, rather than the 510 set up, and the flavour you get off the Pro UB Coils was second to none, picking up on the high notes of any juice I loaded up with. I did find the standard UD coils a little underwhelming, when compared to the larger Pro coils. The URSA comes into its own when paired up with amazingly simple RBA Base. Which when installed into to Pro Pods, chucks out flavour, even surpassing the Pro UB Coils when it comes to flavour and vapour production.
The URSA is quite a heavy device, and some might find it to large and heavy to be used out and about, as an everyday vape. I think it would be nice if they bought out a URSA Mini. For those who still want the URSA Experience, but on a smaller scale.
Although a little on the large size, it does feel super solid in the hand. And when the pop clip system is working correctly, it holds the pod and 510 Adaptor very securely, my only concern is if the clip
Coil Performance
Ursa 0.15Ω UB Pro P1 Coil
This coil has a recommended Wattage of between 70-90 watts. Personally I found the UB Pro sweet spot at about 75w,I found that when you get up past 80w it was just to warm for my liking, and felt like it was drying out a bit, although it never actually did., with the airflow set to fully open, with the slider all the way across, it gave you a super airy draw, and it seemed that as you opened up the airflow, you dialled down the flavour. So I found my self closing it off about half way to get the best balance between airflow and flavour. And the great thing with the URSA is you can actually fine tune it as you vape.
Ursa 0.2Ω UB M4 Coil
The smaller coil has a range of between 40 to 60 watts, and although the coil is much smaller, it still produces a great amount of vapor with the airflow wide open.
I found my sweet spot on this coil was at 55 watts. With the air flow about a quarter open.
Compared to the pro coil, the M4 Coil, didn’t give me the same range of flavour, it seemed to miss the high notes that I was getting with the Pro.
Due to the reduced size, I did notice that it didn’t drink through the juice as quickly as the pro, so the reduction in juice consumption, has to be balanced up with the reduction of flavour. But you may find the M4 coil is a better all day vape.

Final Thoughts 💭
I was really looking forward to testing and reviewing the Lost Vape URSA and really like this type of device, after reviewing the OXVA Velocity. And is definitely the way forward for designers and manufacturers, to give the user everything they are going to need, and allows the user to use the device, as they wish to.
As far as the QUEST for the 👑 crown , for best Pod Mod 2021, I still think the OXVA Velocity just has it, and I think I still prefer the magnets 🧲 over the clip mechanism, and no moving parts to ware out, or break. But as always it totally depends on what you prefer.
