Review of the Geekvape Obelisk 65 FC .Pod
Geekvape is the world’s first to apply certified fast charging technology to vape. In March 2021: Geekvape released the world first mod with fast charge – Obelisk 120 FC (Fast Charge) which reshapes vape ecology. Now, Geekvape are pushing into the fast charge market one more time by bringing the worlds first pod mod – Obelisk 65 FC.

Quality & Design
On the Geekvape website it states that the Obelisk 65 is palm-fit tech-chic, due to the fact that it brings together all of Geekvapes technologies in to one palm sized device. - “Tech-chic. Palm-fit. Masterpiece.” - Geekvape Nov 21
This palm sized perfect has been manufactured out of a high quality zinc alloy, perfectly curved, to fit comfortably in the hand. With no sharp edges. I especially like the ridges that run down its spin, and the up-tilt at the bottom, on the leading edge. Probably one of the comfiest pods I have held in a while.
The arty side panel seem to be made up of a multi-layer decoration, which have been created using the IML technique (In-mould labelling) during the manufacturing process, The procedure is sophisticated: pre-printed side panels are placed in the injection moulding machine. This means that the side panelling process takes place during the manufacturing production process, not afterwards. Which gives you an overall higher quality finish, that won’t start to delaminate, and a lot more hard wearing and virtually scratch proof. It’s this level of over-engineering, and attention to detail, that gives this device such a high end feel.
Built in Battery
The Obelisk 65 FC is equipped 2500mAh Battery, along with the technology that guarantees safe rapid charging via USB-C in 18 minutes and an ultra-long battery life, which is claimed to give you up to 2-day-use battery life.
Allowing you to vape for up to 48 hours, the Obelisk 65 can run on a single charge. The technology inside means that the Obelisk 65 pod, is set up to delivers the same power performance whether the battery is fully charged or not.
Fast Charge - Battery Safety
One of the biggest concerned with devices that are stated as ‘Fast Charging’ is the overall level of battery safety, to over come any battery anxiety related to fast charging, Geekvape have gone to the lengths of getting fast charging technology certified by TÃœV - The Technical Inspection Association.
TÃœV, or the Technical Inspection Association, is a group of independent companies biased n Germany, that test, inspect and audit products and solutions for their safety, security and sustainability.

The Product Manager at Geekvape, Siner Kong went on to state in a press recent press release that.
“At Geekvape, we adhere only to the most stringent global safety standards. Our Safe Fast Charge technology has been strictly tested by leading independent parties, including the TÃœV and FCC. As a result, we can confidently say we have achieved the world’s first fast-charging e-cigarette technology that is truly safe and durable,” Geekvape LTD, 12 Nov 21.
Such research and development will hopefully give you the peace of mind, that you can safely fast charge your device.
As long as you follow the safety guidelines which are supplied with the device, that state.
- Please charge the device with the original USB cable and UL-listed charging source.
- Please avoid long-time charging, Do unplug the USB cable within 2 hours after the battery is fully charged, in order to extend the life of the battery, long time charging may lead to the device having too high a temperature, which can result in fire!
- Please avoid unattended charging,
- Do not expose the product to strong sunlight, or charge it with a car charger, which may cause overheating and circuit damage.
Smart Mode & Functions.
The Obelisk 65 has so called ‘Chip-triggered Smart Mode’. Which means that when in Smart Mode it will automatically select the best output wattage, based on the coil that is installed. To give you the best flavor, as well as preventing the coils from burning out, by establishing a limit to the maximum output level.
Easy of Use.
The obelisk Is super easy to operate with the following functions and controls.
- To turn the device on, simple press the fire button five times.
- Press the fire button 3 times in quick succession to adjust the mode settings. The press the ‘+’ & ‘-‘ to cycle through the modes.
- SMART - will detect the coil resistance and Limeted the power based on it.
- Power - wattage mode will allow to to adjust the wattage in 0.5 increments.
- TC-SS, TCR, - temperature adjustment
- VPC - Variable Power Curve. Allows you to set the power over time.
- BYPASS - will give you the exact voltage from the battery.
- OTG Mode. - Reverse Charging, this will allow you to charge other devices from the mod, such as your phone or other mod.
- PUFF - this will clear your puff counter.
- Then press and hold the fire button for 1s to confirm your choice. And exit the menu.
- Lock the + & - buttons. By simply pressing both buttons at the same time.
- Resistance Lock - Press the fire button 3 times, to enter the setting mode, then single press the fire button to select the resistance, and long press the - button to lock/unlock the current resistance, and long press the + to refresh it.
- Stealth Mode - in standby mode, press and hold the fire button, along with the + & -, to turn off the display.
- Theme Colour - in the mode settings, press and hold ‘+/-‘ at the same time to enter the colour options.
- Screen Brightness- Hold the fire button and ‘+’ to increase the brightness, and fire and - to decrease it.
OTG - On The Go Charging 🔋
The OTG mode worked really well and can come in useful if you are out and about, and need to charge up your phone r your friends vape, as long as you have your supplied type-c to type-c that comes in the kit. Simply switch the device into OTG Mode. And connect the two devices, and when you have finished, simply unplug, and it switches back to smart mode. Note, that you can use the device while in OTG Mode.
Leakproof Pod Design.
Geekvape have been working hard to try and put leaking vape devices as a thing of the past. With there New Industry-leading Z-series leakproof top airflow technology, which, from what I can see seems to cleverly channel the airflow down from the top mounted airflow slots, down in a zig-zag Z motion to the bottom of the coil, to ensure that not a drop of juice leaks out, whilst Vaping or transporting.
And the big plus is the top mounted fill port, as no one wants to be taking their pod out every time they want to fill it up. So to fill the pod, simply unplug the the rubber bung. And fill away. No issues with back-pressure. Fills perfectly each time, no spill and no mess.
The 4.5ml pod tank gives to plenty of vaping time between fills, and is clear so easy to see you juice level. Apart from the fact that you have to take the pod out of the device, to be able to see the tank section of the pod. Due to the compact design, and deeply recessed tank.
The pod is held securely in place by two hidden magnets located Ingeni the bottom of the tank, as well as in the recessed neck of the battery.
To get the pod section out you need to give it a good tug around the airflow section, as there is no other obvious place to grab it by.
Airflow Control.
It’s nice to see that Geekvape have gone for a big chunky Airflow control ring, located at the base of the drip tip. With a slot on each side, allowing you to set it wide open, for a huge airy draw, or closed off for a nice MTL style vape, although the drip tip is definitely designed on DTL Vaping.
Everyday Vaping
Have been using the Geekvape Obelisk 65 as my go to vape for the last week, and have been super impressed with it. The supplied coils deliver an impressive level of flavour, delivering on point accuracy on well know blends that I vape on. And gives a flavour experience more in keeping with a tank rather than a pod. So no issue on the flavour front.
I’m unsure on how often you need to vape to get 2 days out of one charge, as I was getting a good day of heavy Vaping out of a single charge, so That would lead me to conclude that if you where a lighter Vaper, you may well get a couple of days use out of a single charge.
Once the battery was flat, it was time to test out the FC capabilities, and as none of the Obelisk FC charge products seem to come with a charging block. Which is very disappointing . As if you advertise a product as Fast Charging, and strongly advise that the user, used the correct power brick, then they should supply on. So for the purpose of this review I used the fast charging brick that came with my Samsung Note 10 phone, and to be fair it charged up fully in about 20minutes, which I was impressed with, considering it didn’t got hot, or anything.
So pleased to report that I couldn’t really fault the Geekvape Obelisk 65, apart from the lacking FC Brick, and would definitely be recommending it.
Hopefully in the hear future Geekvape with bring out a Rebuildable pod section for it, as that would totally nail it, in my opinion.
