The team at OXVA very kindly sent over an OVXA XLIM SQ Pro, finished in matt black, along with a reviewers pack of their brand new Pre-filled pods, which fit all the OXVA Products, which we will look at in more detail, during this first look and review of the XLIM SQ Pro, looking at not only its merits, but it’s short comings, now I have had a chance to live with it, over the last month.

Build and Design
The Oxva XLIM SQ PRO exudes elegance and sophistication with its sleek and stylish design. Following in the cube like design, which is on trend at the moment, with a move away from the standard, long style vape. I must admit I do like this design, definitely feels more compact, and fits perfect in the hand, as well as very pocket friendly.
The device's construction utilizes high-quality materials, imparting a sense of durability and sturdiness. With a real premium feel to this product. Featuring a 0.96-inch TFT color screen, which seems quite large in proportion to the rest of device, a standout feature, provides a vibrant and clear display of essential vaping information, including battery life, power output, and puff count.
Really like the way OXVA have gone for oval design. Rather than the standard square screen. It nice that the display is actually curved, with a curved battery bar at the bottom.
The left side of the device features a single chrome button. The sits just above the open type - c charging port. On the opposite side is the variable airflow control, which is a simple slider, which has just the right amount of resistance, that allows you to have it wide open, or closed off, with a little bit in the middle.

Build Quality
The Oxva XLIM SQ PRO is a testament to exceptional craftsmanship, evident in its solid construction and high-quality materials. The pods fit snugly into the device, ensuring a secure and reliable vaping experience. With strong magnets to keep everything in place.
Controls & Function
Although the device has a single button, it has a lot of adjustments, and controls.
- Press the fire button 5 times within 2s and the device will turn on and off.
- Whilst the device is turned on, you have the choice of pressing the button to fire, or simply draw to activate. For a maximum of 8 seconds.
- Press the button twice within 2s to enter the secondary interface, press the button once to cycle through the menu items. POWER, SMART, THEME, PUFF, EXIT. Then a long-press of the button to select the choose option.
- Adjust Output : Press the fire button 3 times in 2s to adjust your prefer wattage.
- Lock/Unlock: Press the fire button 4 Times in 2 seconds to lock/unlock the fire button.
During usage you may come across the following Prompt messages.
- LOCKED : the fire button locked.
- TIME OUT : Vaping over 8 seconds, and with stop working.
- HIGH TEMP : Temperature too high and will stop firing,
- LOW BATTERY : Voltage under 3.2v and will stop firing.
- SHORT CIRCUIT : Heating wire short circuit and will stop firing.
- NO POD : Please check the connection between the pod and device
Although you have all this control, I found that the Smart Function on the device, meant that you didn’t need to adjust the wattage, as the device adjusted the power setting to suit the pod that was connected. And the Auto-draw worked really well.
Everyday Vaping
The Oxva XLIM SQ PRO seamlessly integrates into daily routines, proving to be an exceptional everyday vape device. The Pod and coil combination, are faultless and proven over many many devices, why change something that works so well, and it’s great to see Oxva sticking with the V3 pods, meaning that they can work with all the devices in the OXVA lineup. The flavour is absolutely stop on. And the battery seems to last for ages, and only found it needed charging, when I sat down in the evening.
The only thing I found tricky sometimes was when it needs filling, as I found it quite difficult to open the fill port, with no nails. But you get it in the end.
