OXVA NeXLIM Pod System Review
Double Flavour. Double Lifespan. Next‑Gen Performance.
Introduction – My First Thoughts on the NeXLIM
Regular readers of my blog will know that I am a massive OXVA fan, and have followed the brand since the very beginning, Seeing them going from strength to strength, to become one of the leading names in the vaping industry. So when I first heard about the evolution of the classic Xlim range, with the new OXVA NeXLIM, curiosity kicked in.
With promises of Dual Mesh Technology, Boost & Eco Modes, a 4 mL cartridge, a 1500 mAh battery, and a vibrant 0.85″ colour screen, it billed itself as the next generation of open pod systems — a design clearly aimed at people who want flavour, flexibility, and smart tech in a compact form. After using dozens of kits—from entry‑level pod vapes to full mods—it’s rare to find a pod device that really blends design, battery headroom, and customisation. The NeXLIM set out to do just that, and here’s how it delivered.

Design & Build Quality
OXVA has done a beautiful job with the NeXLIM’s design. The device feels solid in the hand, thanks to its metal alloy chassis, yet stays comfortably compact. Its curved front and back panels and subtly indented sides give it a modern, ergonomic flair. I especially liked the rubberised grip that the blue one had, made it feel very secure in the hand.
There’s a generous selection of finishes—colours like Glory Red, Pine Green, Coral Orange, Pearl Pink, Starry Blue, and more utilitarian tones like Dark Grey or Black Gold—and both leather and vinyl panel options make it feel not just functional but stylish.
Display & Controls
The 0.85″ colour screen is sharp and responsive—much more vibrant than the typical b&w OLED on most pod kits. The main Black panel has a 22mm diameter approx. with a display actual screen display area of approx. 18mm diameter. It clearly displays all the user information that you are going to need whilst vaping, at the top of the screen is displays the mode you are currently in, with the current modes wattage in the middle of the screen, sitting on top of the puff counter and coil resistance. I also really like the two large scale curved bar charts on each side, which both show the remaining battery life, just mirrored on each side.
The device is super simple to use, and is draw activated. and controlled and adjusted via the single button on the left of the device.
- Power On/Off = press the button 5 times to turn on or off.
- Adjust mode = press the button twice to switch between Eco or Boost.
- Adjust output = press button 3 times until the power value is flashing. Keep pressing until required power is displayed on the screen. Leave the device until it returns to the home screen.
- Adjust screen theme = press the button 4 times and repeat until the desired theme is displayed. Leave the device until it returns to the home screen.
- Puff counter reset = press the button 7 times to reset the puff counter. Leave the device until it returns to the home screen.
- Display guide = long press the button to display the user guide
Changing modes is seamless, and gives you instant access to not only an increase in wattage, but also alters how the devices works : Eco Mode uses alternating mesh coils for extended battery life, and extended coil life, while Boost Mode activates both coils simultaneously for richer flavour and vapour.
Battery & Charging
The 1500 mAh internal battery proved solid — delivering a full day (or more) of moderate use especially when vaping in Eco Mode. The USB‑C 2 A fast‑charging feature meant a full charge in under an hour, with the screen conveniently showing charge progress.
Safety Features
OXVA has included comprehensive safety: short‑circuit protection, over‑charge/discharge protection, auto‑cut‑off after 10 seconds, and over‑temp warning. I experienced zero issues during my time with the device.
Pods, Coils, & Filling
NeXLIM uses dedicated 4 mL pods (2 mL in TPD markets) with resistances of 0.6 Ω, 0.8 Ω, and even 1.2 Ω NeXLIM Dual Mesh coils. This UniTech 2.0 structure stacks two mesh coils, delivering up to 200% more flavour and 200% longer coil lifespan than previous pods.
The pods are magnetic, easy to top-fill via a rubber side plug, and fit snugly. Filling from the side is straightforward: flip the plug, insert tip, and seal — no need to remove the pod.
Real-Life Testing & Performance
Flavour & Vapour
The 0.6 Ω pod, when run around 25–35 W in Boost Mode, delivered brilliant flavour — rich, warm, and full-bodied. It handled both dessert and fruit flavours beautifully, and even after multiple refills, the flavour output remained consistent with no burnt taste or drop in vapour production. The 0.8 Ω pod, running slightly cooler and smoother, was a great match for high-nicotine salts and all-day vaping. Even at lower wattages in Eco Mode, flavour stayed punchy and satisfying, and battery life stretched significantly — perfect for workdays or travel.
Boost vs Eco Modes
The Boost and Eco Modes are more than gimmicks — they make a real difference. Boost fires both mesh layers at once for maximum flavour and vapour, while Eco alternates coils to conserve battery and extend pod life. I loved switching between the two depending on the moment — Boost when I wanted a bold hit, Eco when I needed my battery to last.Airflow Control
The adjustable side airflow gives you a flexible draw, from a fairly tight MTL to a more open RDL.Refilling – A Big Win for Usability
I’ve got to give OXVA serious credit here. They’ve clearly listened to user feedback, because the pod filling tab has been redesigned — and it’s so much better. It’s such a small detail, but it transforms the experience. No more cursing while trying to pry it open. Just a clean, smooth fill every time. It’s a real quality-of-life upgrade that shows OXVA are paying attention to real-world use, and I massively appreciate that.
The Display – Clear, Classy, and Just Right
Another feature I loved during real-world use was the larger 0.85” colour screen. It’s bright, sharp, and finally big enough to read without squinting — a personal pet peeve with many pod kits. Also, while the display itself is square, it’s framed by a gently curved, rounded bezel, which gives it a modern, premium look. That subtle curve makes the whole device feel more polished and high-end — a proper visual upgrade compared to previous models like the XLIM.
Leak Performance
Not once during my testing did I experience any leaking. The pods sealed firmly into the device, and the internals remained clean after multiple refills and battery cycles. It’s clear OXVA’s engineering team took their time here — and it paid off.
Pros & Cons
Pros
✅ Excellent build quality and premium design
✅ Dual mesh coils deliver rich flavour and extended lifespan
✅ Boost & Eco Modes provide flexible vaping experiences
✅ Large 4 mL pods reduce refill frequency
✅ Vibrant 0.85″ colour screen with themes
✅ Fast USB‑C charging and long battery life
✅ Compatible with XLIM pods via adaptor
Cons
❌ Slight difficulty in dialing exact MTL draw with airflow slider
❌ TPD‑limited versions use 2 mL pods rather than full 4 mL capacity
Final Verdict – Worth the Upgrade?
After two weeks of use, the OXVA NeXLIM felt like a significant evolution in OXVA’s pod ecosystem. It retains the best of the XLIM lineage — the smooth airflow, ease of use, and reliability — but elevates the entire experience with more power, more juice capacity, richer flavour, and smarter controls. Whether you're a seasoned vaper wanting a polished on-the-go device, or a beginner seeking versatility, NeXLIM strikes a rare balance.
Yes, it’s slightly larger and more expensive than earlier XLIM kits—but the upgrades justify the price. If you value flavour, flexibility, and durability in a pod device, NeXLIM is very hard to beat.
