Review of the OXVA Oneo Pod System.
Regular readers of my blog, know that I am a massive fan of OXVA, and super excited to hear that they had released a new pod system, and was looking forward to getting my hands on one, as OXVA always seem to set vaping trends, rather than follow them. I was interested to see if the Oneo live up the high bar set by the award winning OXVA XLIM range of pods.
The team at OXVA kindly sent over this sample free of charge for the purpose of this review.

Design and Build Quality
As far as the overall design and look of the device, it does remind me of the OXVA Origin.
The OXVA Oneo is a well-designed and very well-built, with a real premium feel to it. It is made of durable lightweight Aluminium Alloy body with a stylish matte metallic finish, and has a sleek pebble like design. The Oneo is also very comfortable to hold and with the magnetic top section, has an almost fidget device feel to it. and I found myself clicking the cap on and off, and spinning it in my hand, when not vaping on it.
The pod section of the device, is nicely hidden underneath, the pre-mentioned magnetic top cap, which has an opening for the mouthpiece, and a small viewing window on each side. Although to be honest, when I wanted to check the juice level, I just pop the cap up.
Pod section
The device used sealed pods, in either 3.5ml as standard, or 2ml TPD compliant tanks. And come with a choice of two coils, either 0.4ohm or 0.6ohm coil preinstalled.
The pods them selves are securely held in place with 3 strong magnets, located around the spring loaded contact pins.
The pods are super easy to fill, through the fill port located on the top side of the pod, which is sealed using a well designed rubber plug.
LED light show
The other design feature on the Oneo is the dynamic LED strip that runs down the body of the device.
The LED strip is an animated display and can be set to just pulse or travel in the single battery indicator colour or you can set it to a multi-colour display. It is around 33mm long and very bright, to be easily seen in all lights.
This is the only device that I have come across, that uses the draw activation to control functions of the device, as in you can change the lighting effects, by simply sucking 3 times in quick succession. Very clever. No need for buttons.
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off = There is no On/Off function
- Vaping = Just inhale on the mouthpiece to trigger the auto fire system.
- Battery indicator = When vaping, the colour of the LED displays the battery charge remaining. Green = 75-100%, Blue = 50-75%, Yellow = 25-50% and Red = less than 25%. The Red LED will flash 10 times when the device needs charging. If using the multi-colour display mode – the battery status light flashes up once the multi-colour display has finished – just after vaping.
- Battery indicator when charging = The LED will cycle through the standard colours mentioned above. The LED will go out completely when fully charged.
- Airflow: Slide the airflow control slider to increase or decrease the incoming airflow.
- Change lighting effect = draw (inhale) 3 times in 1.5 seconds to scroll through the lighting effects. Stop when the effect you require is displayed. You can choose from Multi-colour lighting effect, single colour lighting effect or single colour breathing light.
Airflow Control.
The Oneo also has adjustable airflow, which is controlled via a tiny pin on the back of the device, which only sticks out about a 1.5mm, so you sort of have to get it with you nail. I did find the lever to be quite stiff, so fine tuning it can be a little tricky. But once in place its not going to move.
Filling
Filling up couldn’t be simpler, simple remove the top cap, locate the small black plug, open it up, and rotate the plug out of the way, and then tilting the pod back, fill up with juice. Easy as that. No mess. No leakage.
Performance
The OXVA Oneo performs very well. It produces excellent flavor, more in keeping with one of my squonk set ups running at 70w. It’s amazing what they can get out of a well designed pod system. Amazing, and vapor production was impressive, a lot more than you would normally get out of a pod system.
With the 1600mAh battery, you can vape all day without having to worry about running out of battery. And if it does run low, simple plug in the type c cable and allow it to fast charge using 2amp charging capability . Allowing it to go from o to 100% in just 60 minutes. And even if you don’t have time for a full charge a quick 10minute top up before you go out seems to make a massive difference.
The only real complaint about the OXVA Oneo was the sensitivity of the air draw activation, in the fact that you do have to give it relatively hard draw (suck) to get it to activate, and sometimes a gentle puff, just doesn’t activate it. Not sure if that is just mine. And once you are used to the amount of draw you need to activate it, it didn’t seem to bother me much.
The Oneo also has a variety of safety features, including short-circuit protection, over-current protection, and over-voltage protection.

Conclusion
The OXVA Oneo is a very versatile device. With amazing flavour. It can be used for both MTL and DTL vaping, depending on the pod that you are using. The Oneo is also compatible with a variety of different e-liquids, including freebase nicotine e-liquids and nicotine salt e-liquids.
The Oneo is also super easy to maintain. The pods are easy to clean and replace, and the device itself is very easy to keep clean. By giving it a gentle wipe down.
Overall, the OXVA Oneo is a great pod vape kit. It is easy to use, produces excellent flavor and vapor production, and has a long battery life. The Oneo is also very affordable at only $24.99 and versatile. However, it is important to keep in mind that the Oneo pods can be a bit expensive (3 pods for $12.99) with each pod lasting me about a week.
